Bryon and I ran into town tonight for Hillsboro Nights... food trucks and a variety of vendors. We had some great smash burgers and fries at American Pi & Grill and I saw the cutest mobile bookstore.. "The Manuscript" mobile bookstore. Two of my favorite things, burgers and books. It was fun and the weather was perfect.

You know a lot has happened here this weekend. All out of our control. But the one thing that might send most people in a tizzy was our electric has been out since around 4 yesterday. Yet we could not have hand picked a better time....... after the storms the temperatures dropped immensely, so the house was comfortable, the ground was wet before all of the firework extravaganzas so no grass fires, I was able to catch up on some reading, and some much needed rest. Now was it fun? No, every time I walked into a room I tried to flip a switch!!! How many times before I learn??? I had coffee from McDonalds this morning so not my healthy no mold, no parasite coffee. Even though it was not a tragedy and it was all COMPLETELY bearable, I do love my electric. So all those times I said, oh I could have lived in the old west by fires and candlelight is a total LIE! I have learned to be more grateful for the things I have and to make the most of any situation.
