Victoria was born on 9-11-01 and it was not until years later that she was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease. In 2013, we began lobbying for safe access to Cannabis oil. Victoria is profound special needs, she can’t talk or read. Thanks for reading!

People in Georgia are BIG mad about the 🌱 laws but when is the last time they went to the Capitol? or a local Town Hall meeting or contacted their legislator. If you went two years ago for a meeting, it isn’t enough.

Posting on Facebook and writing article after article, Does not do anything. 🤷‍♀️

We need more people to join us.

We had Cannabis Unity Day the first day of the Legislative Session. Guess who wasn’t there? We had Hearings to decriminalize the plant and only 2 advocates testified (Aviva & Yolanda - Georgia medical cannabis society) We had a hearing for HB496, the Aroma bill. Guess who was not present. We had SB220 to expand the medical cannabis program, Guess who testified? 

Bottom line: We need more Georgia advocates!

I can tell you who was NOT in this line.

The previous post, I mentioned mom & pop stores. Well yes, they have been taking care of patients until Georgia banned the sell of THCA flower. 🇺🇸

My friend like Jana at Canton C*D lost 40% of her sales overnight and her daughter just started college.

My friend Joseph in Dublin (C*D Source) went from a thriving 🌱 small business, helping lots of patients and now has pivoted to selling furniture, he has 6 people to feed 3 times a day. Not to mention all the patients in Dublin he was able to help.

Our friend Allan in Athens, has a family too and they like to go to Canada for Spring Break. 🇨🇦

My point is, these are every day people like you & me. Not Corporations. They have been taking care of patients for years and now they are left out.

We’re not that free. (Victoria was on the front page and they used that caption from the interview, it’s true today too)

Mixed emotions today in Georgia 🌱

Many patients can find relief utilizing flower as of today in Georgia. However, my friends who own mom & pop stores like Jana in Canton, Joseph in Dublin and Alan in Athens, they are left out of the celebration and facing an uncertain future as a small business owner in Georgia.

Rather than write a long post (who reads articles these days) and change nothing (word salad) I would love to invite you to gather with us, We meet every Tues via Zoom for an hour. We have an average of 20 advocates who meet and work for the greater good to change laws.

We are meeting in Snellville on 7/11 and Acworth in August. If you want to get involved with helping Ga move forward, it’s been baby steps and it’ll continue to be baby steps……. Let us know💚🌱✌️

Today would not be possible if it wasn’t for the advocates doing the work.

Jacksonville friends~ Big Joe is playing baseball this afternoon. He came home last weekend for a surprise visit. I may or may not have tackled him when I ran inside. He was with Louie 🐶 I think he missed the pup! Shout out to Bradley & Nikki for hosting Joey!

Yesterday began with a ton of seizures. Sorry to the people behind us at CFA, I held up the drive thru (fast pass) because I had to jump in the back seat twice (not easy for a big girl) She fell over having a bad seizure. Then as I pulled into the neighborhood, she began having another seizure, when pulled over, a car was on my 🫏, they went around me almost hitting a golf cart head on.

Nana fell (again) then our sweet neighbor fell yesterday in her driveway, I had Victoria and she was having seizures so there wasn’t much I could help with.

We have a family member in the ICU who needs prayers. Please send love.

There’s several more eventful things that occurred this past week but that’s plenty to digest before coffee.

I owe “thank you” notes to many people, just know I haven’t forgotten ya’ll.

Ms. Lois always called her “sissy”. He would hang on her. Poor girl had 2 seizures this morning and fell off of the couch and landed upside down.

Just a tough season.

Victoria had a rough week. 5 seizures and vomiting at night.

We thought about going to Jacksonville this weekend to watch Joseph play baseball on Sun & Monday but truthfully we went to Monticello last weekend (4 plus hours) and we are a traveling circus🎪

People wonder why I’m a little much but this life is NOT for the weak. My dad would remind me “She can’t do what you do” when I would vent to him. Then again he would also say “You can’t save the world, Corey!” in a very stern voice and stare.
