What if the greatest limitation on your future is not a lack of opportunity, but a lack of clarity about your purpose?

The history of Samson is an example of someone entrusted with extraordinary gifts. Yet it also challenges us to consider important questions:

✨ Are we protecting what God has entrusted to us?
✨ Are the people closest to us helping or hindering our purpose?
✨ How do our daily decisions impact our future possibilities?
✨ What can we learn when we fall short?

Join us for the next Intentional Faith Bible Study for Professional Women (this Tuesday) as we explore the story of Samson and Delilah and explore purpose, discernment, relationships, and God's ability to work through imperfect people.

Keep these folks out the inner circle:

🍋People who can't apologize
🍋People who always seem to be involved in conflict
🍋People who rarely have balanced communication
🍋People who always get upset if you disagree with their opinions/behaviors
🍋Self-centered or selfish people
🍋People who habitually lie

🌟The right people to keep close will be imperfect, but they will exhibit patterns of behavior that support healthy relationships.

They will:
🍎Reflect on their actions and make amends when necessary
🍎Try to resolve conflict instead of escalating it by avoidance or negative responses
🍎Improve in communication
🍎Work towards being open and mature (which does not mean lack boundaries)
🍎Strive to understand different perspectives
🍎Be generous because they invest in what they value (not just financially)

There are levels to relationships. Build with those whose actions are in alignment with personal values.

This is not an exhaustive list. Comment on what was missed.

💌 Independence is a myth.

The illusion of independence only lasts until life happens.

An unexpected illness.
A job loss.
A move.
The death of a loved one.
A difficult diagnosis.
A season of burnout.
A major life transition.

Then suddenly, what once felt like self-sufficiency is revealed to be what it often was all along: a temporary absence of need.

One of the most important investments we can make is building community before we need it.

Healthy communities do not magically appear during emergencies. They are cultivated through intentional relationships and mutual support over time.

On Tuesday a phenomenal group of women joined Intentional Faith Bible Study and contributed to a meaningful discussion. It was encouraging to see women intentionally investing in their spiritual health, wisdom, and community.

If you have ever found yourself wondering how to build stronger relationships before life forces you to, I recently shared additional thoughts on this topic in a blog post.

At Double Doc J LLC, we believe healthier communities are built by helping individuals grow in physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual health.

The question is not whether you will need community but whether you are building it today.

People can only treat you in ways that you allow them to.

That does not mean we are responsible for every hurtful action directed toward us. However, it does mean that we have a responsibility to establish boundaries, communicate expectations, and decide who receives access to our time, energy, and trust.

Many women spend years learning how to advocate for others but struggle to advocate for themselves.

The good news is that wisdom can be learned.

One of the greatest gifts of community is the opportunity to learn from the successes and mistakes of others. Scripture is filled with examples that help us discern healthy relationships, wise decisions, and godly boundaries.

This summer, a group of professional women is gathering to study Scripture, ask thoughtful questions, and grow in wisdom together through the Intentional Faith Bible Study.

If you are looking for meaningful community and practical biblical insights, join us.

Community, reflection, and spiritual wellness continue to prove their value in meaningful ways.

The first Intentional Faith Bible Study for Professional Women today brought together women committed to thoughtful discussion, prayer, and biblical reflection through the study of Job.

Conversations centered around themes many women quietly navigate:
• evidence of fear
• causes of burnout
• identity beyond performance
• how the enemy works

At Double Doc J LLC, the mission is clear:
Building healthier communities by building health within individuals.
Holistic health extends beyond physical wellness. Emotional, relational, mental, and spiritual well-being also deserve intentional attention and community support.

For women seeking thoughtful faith-centered engagement and intentional growth, additional summer Bible study opportunities remain available.

The next Intentional Faith Bible Study will take place:
📅 June 16
⏰ 6:40 PM EST
💻 Zoom

Foundational Scriptures:
📖 1 Kings 19:1–13

Preparation is optional and participation is welcome at every stage of faith.

Sometimes we allow people to contribute to our lives without understanding the type of fruit their input produces.

Good intentions are not always the same as good guidance.

We are often influenced by age, familiarity, proximity, shared backgrounds, charisma, or confidence. Yet wisdom requires more than comfort or commonality.

Not every relationship should have the same level of access.

Not every voice belongs in your inner circle.

Healthy boundaries are not rejection; they are discernment.

The people closest to us can influence our emotional health, spiritual growth, decision-making, confidence, and peace either positively or negatively. That is why learning to observe patterns, character, and fruit matters.

Scripture teaches:

“Thus you will know them by their fruit.” — Matthew 7:20

At Double Doc J LLC, we believe healthier communities begin with healthier individuals and that holistic wellness includes spiritual, relational, and mental health alongside physical health.

These are some of the meaningful conversations we will explore during the Intentional Faith Bible Study for Professional Women beginning June 2nd.

Our summer study begins in the Book of Job and will examine trust and wisdom for navigating difficult seasons.

Preparation is optional and not required to keep up with the group.

If you are seeking thoughtful, faith-centered community and intentional growth this summer, we invite you to join us.

💡Everyone has a story that could help someone else heal, grow, or live more intentionally.

At Double Doc J LLC, we are inviting guest contributors to share life stories and reflections for the doubledocj.com blog.

🌟 We are especially seeking narratives that explore the real-life factors that impact health and intentional living: physically, mentally, relationally, spiritually, professionally, or financially.

You do not have to be a professional writer to contribute.
Selected contributors will work alongside an experienced editor to help refine their story for publication.

Why contribute?
🌿 Share a meaningful message that may encourage others
🌿 Build your voice and visibility as a thought leader
🌿 Use narrative writing as a tool for reflection and wellness
🌿 Contribute to conversations that build healthier individuals and healthier communities

Research continues to show that expressive and narrative writing may support emotional processing, stress reduction, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

If you have a story that could inspire intentional living, we would love to hear from you.

📩 Interested contributors can connect with us through doubledocj.com or send a direct message to learn more.

💌 People are wired for connection.

Community provides a sense of belonging, support, and shared purpose. When it comes to spiritual health, community offers a space to explore faith, ask questions, and grow together.

🌿 Emotional support: Sharing struggles and joys with others reduces feelings of isolation and stress.
🌿 Accountability: Being part of a group encourages regular spiritual practices like prayer and reflection.
🌿 Learning and growth: Different perspectives deepen understanding and inspire personal transformation.

Research shows that people involved in faith communities tend to have better mental health and lower rates of depression.

Because women may neglect community and spiritual health, we are launching the Intentional Faith Bible Study to support Professional Women this summer.
