Happy National Boss’s Day! ❤️✨

Well, I see it’s National Boss’s Day, and today I just want to take a moment to reflect and give God thanks! 🙏🏽

2027 will mark 9 years of entrepreneurship, and all I can say is GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL!

I thank God for giving me the vision, carrying my business through a global pandemic, allowing me to create jobs in my community, and giving us the opportunity to serve over 100 clients and patients in the last 8 years. Every milestone is a blessing I don’t take for granted.

To every employee who has walked through the doors of Lovebird Healthcare Solutions, THANK YOU! Whether you were here for a season or have been part of the journey for years, each of you has contributed to our growth and success.

One thing I’ve learned is that being a boss and being a leader are two different things. As I continue to grow and evolve, so does our company culture. Leadership requires humility, accountability, compassion, and a willingness to learn and improve.

My goal has never been to just build a successful business, but to create a company rooted in integrity, respect, compassion, and excellence, where our employees feel valued and the people we serve are treated with dignity.

We haven’t gotten everything right, but every experience has been an opportunity to become better.

I’m not just building a business. I’m building a legacy, creating opportunities, and making an impact in my community.

Here’s to continued growth, grace, and purpose!

Hello, 40! ✨🥂 A new decade. A beautiful new chapter.

I’m stepping into this journey with God leading, faith carrying me, and a deeper commitment to myself. More intention with my health, more presence with my family, and more courage to build the dreams He placed on my heart.

I’m proud of the woman I’ve become and excited to discover who I’m still becoming. Grateful for every lesson, every blessing, and another year to love, grow, and live with purpose.

Gloria L. Baker is a healthcare entrepreneur, care coordination expert, nursing student, and Founder & CEO of Lovebird Healthcare Solutions. With more than 14 years of experience in healthcare, she has built and led programs serving more than 100 families while creating systems that strengthen care in the home and community. Through the growing Lovebird Ecosystem, Gloria is expanding her work into care coordination, workforce development, senior living support, healthcare education, and community impact. As a mother of four, she is passionate about building a legacy that creates greater access, opportunity, and support for families and future healthcare professionals.

Over the next several months, she’ll have the opportunity to connect, grow, serve, and build community alongside an incredible group of Black women professionals as a part of BWPL’s newly redesigned cohort experience.

One thing entrepreneurship has taught me: making money and understanding money are two completely different skills. 💯

For years, I thought the goal was simple: work harder, grow the business, make more money.

But as I’ve grown as an entrepreneur, I’ve realized the bigger lesson is learning what to do with the money once you make it.

How do you make it grow?
How do you build assets?
How do you create multiple streams of income?
How do you build businesses that don’t require you to personally do everything?
And most importantly, how do you build something that can create opportunities for your family and your community?

I’m still learning. I will continue learning 📚

I’m learning about investing. I’m learning more about business structure. I’m learning how to build systems, protect what I’m creating, and think beyond simply generating revenue.

Because my goal isn’t just to make money.

It’s to build something sustainable.

Something my children can learn from.
Something that creates jobs.
Something that serves families.
Something that continues growing beyond me.

That’s a completely different mindset than the one I had when I first became an entrepreneur.

The older I get, the more I realize that financial education is part of the CEO journey too.

Nobody really prepares you for the season when everybody needs you. ❤️

Your kids need a ride.
Your parents need help navigating an appointment.
Work needs you.
Your family needs you.
And somehow, you’re supposed to keep yourself together too.

Welcome to the sandwich generation.

New Pew Research Center data found that more than half of Americans in their 40s are now caught somewhere in the middle caring for or supporting children while also having aging parents.

And I know this season is about so much more than statistics.

It’s sitting at the kitchen table thinking about college expenses while also wondering whether Mom or Dad is safe at home.

It’s trying to understand a medical bill, schedule appointments, manage medications, figure out insurance, answer everyone’s questions and still show up for your own life.

Sometimes you become the family’s care coordinator without ever applying for the job.

And that’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about the conversations we’re having around caregiving, aging, healthcare, and family support.

Because families shouldn’t have to figure all of this out alone.
