Gigi Coyle will share about such times in her life and Leah will share about how the call of whales came through storytelling.

Together they will explore what it means to listen and respond, to discover a pathway and reach out to others who have as well. We look to open a continuing conversation for your own inquiry and sharing in this and future councils.

We will also be joined by Ted Cheeseman, creator of Happy Whale, a photo identification system that will make it possible for us to have a better understanding of the whales who we live with and travel through our home waters.

Ted’s work reminds us that knowing the whales we live with, provides more ways to know their stories.

💦 Here’s another photo from the epic Water Bear Photography underwater photography workshop I did with recently in Florida.

This photo is of the lovely Astrid who bravely endured this cold water with such ethereal grace!

We went into a beautiful Florida Spring and this wahine from Hawaii was freezing her b***y off even in a 5 mm wetsuit! I was extremely impressed by the endurance of the models as they easily shared their 🧜‍♀️ beauty in the chilly water! 🥶

It was such an incredible experience to learn from Kimber, be with talented photographers from around the USA and develop my skills!

🎉 It was an absolute MERMAZING experience visiting the headquarters at in Florida recently!

What a thrill it was to meet Eric, & the rest of the Mertailor gang!

Swimming in their tank was an absolute dream & thrill. I had never swam in a tank before, so it was quite an ecstatic, new experience for me, as I am a Hawaii 🧜‍♀️ and am used to swimming in the ocean.

I loved being surrounded by the sting rays, fish and sand bar shark. They were quite curious & friendly creatures! 🦈

Years ago when I saw the documentary ‘MerPeople’ & heard about Eric’s inspiring story, I never dreamed that I would one day meet them, hang out with them for the day & swim with them! 🎊

This was basically a mermaid heaven trip! It was definitely one of the highlights of my life and having Eric compliment my swimming in a genuine manner was such a brilliant validation of this magnificent mermaid life I have chosen for myself.

It’s been a bit of a crazy few days here on our beloved little Garden Island community of Kaua’i, Hawaii for reasons I won’t go into, but let’s just say our community has been a bit shaken.

It reminds me how it’s vitally important to stay in one’s heart amidst the whirl & blur of it all. ♥️

And to return back to what truly matters,which is to show up and help others in community.

To not get caught up in the tempting mind worms of fear, drama and hate.

It’s so easy to isolate one’s self, project ideas upon others and forget that we are all connected.

More than ever, it’s vitally important to keep this thread of being human. Stay human y’all! ❤️‍🔥

Stay in the love

Stay in the heart

This is where the healing is.
