Nevada Coalition for Psychedelic Medicines Saving Lives | Revolutionizing Mental Health The Nevada Coalition for Psychedelic Medicines is dedicated to healing through the use of psychedelic substances.

We strive to increase access to and understanding of these substances as potential therapies for mental health and well-being and to eliminate the stigma and criminalization associated with their use. Through collaboration, advocacy, and education, we aim to improve the health and lives of individuals in our state and nation.

The New Mexico Department of Health Center for Medical Cannabis and Ps𝒾𝓁𝑜cy𝒷𝒾𝓃 began accepting applications last week from potential producers to grow the mushrooms for future program participants. Cvitanovic told Source that the application is intended to ensure the ps𝒾𝓁𝑜cy𝒷𝒾𝓃 “produced for this program in New Mexico is both safe and medically beneficial for patients, as well as that this doesn’t cause safety issues for people in New Mexico generally.”

Miller emphasized that receptor binding alone does not determine a compound’s clinical effect; the subsequent functional activity generated within the intracellular environment following that binding is equally central to understanding how ps𝒾𝓁𝑜cy𝒷𝒾𝓃, LᦓD, and 𝓂𝑒sca𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑒 ultimately produce their effects. He positioned this binding-to-function distinction as a key pharmacodynamic principle for clinicians to understand as psꪗchꫀdeꪶic compounds move closer to potential regulatory approval and broader clinical use.

The report published on Wednesday by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) says that substances such as ps𝒾𝓁𝑜cy𝒷𝒾𝓃, LᦓD and M𝐷M𝐴 “show potential in clinical studies for treating depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance use disorders,” though it cautions that the evidence base “remains uneven and important methodological limitations persist.”

The SAMHSA report notes that President Donald Trump issued an executive order aimed at expanding and expediting research on the potential therapeutic benefits of psꪗchꫀdeꪶics in April with an eye toward federal approval of psꪗchꫀdeꪶic medications by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

State officials should “consider planning now for the fiscal, legal, and operational implications of potential FDA-approved psꪗchꫀdeꪶic therapies, including any Medicaid coverage obligations,” it says.

While adjustment disorder can develop in response to a range of life events, the study focuses on people whose symptoms occur in the context of a serious medical illness.

The study is being led by Anthony Rothschild, MD, the Irving S. and Betty Brudnick Chair in Psychiatry and professor of psychiatry & behavioral sciences, and brings together clinicians and researchers across multiple departments, including psychiatry, medicine and neurology.

Nevada is at a pivotal moment as lawmakers consider how to responsibly bring psꪗchꫀdeꪶic-assisted therapies into the state’s healthcare system. The legislation discussed in the article reflects a growing effort to move beyond the long-standing stigma surrounding psꪗchꫀdeꪶics while establishing guardrails for research, clinical use and patient safety. The goal is not simply to make these substances available, but to create a framework grounded in evidence and responsible medical practice as research continues to develop.

UNLV neuroscientist Dustin Hines brings that scientific caution to the conversation. Hines has emphasized that psꪗchꫀdeꪶics show significant therapeutic promise, but that researchers are still working to understand precisely how they affect the brain, who is most likely to benefit and under what conditions they can be used safely. His work underscores an important distinction: promising results are not the same as a complete scientific understanding. For Hines, continued research is essential to turning the potential of psꪗchꫀdeꪶics into treatments that are evidence-based, safe and clinically effective.

Numerous clinical trials indicate that i᥇oᧁainꫀ can upregulate markers of myelination under conditions of both opioid use disorder or MS.

I᥇oᧁainꫀ’s ability to produce these beneficial changes in the brain depend upon its complex actions at multiple neurotransmitter receptors. These complex actions reduce the glutamate toxicity and correct some metabolic processes leading to long-lasting neuroplasticity that facilitates neuronal repair and remyelination.

I᥇oᧁainꫀ joins a growing list of psꪗchꫀdeꪶic drugs that have been discovered to potentially produce beneficial effects on brain health and mood.

In addition to PIVOT, the VA has 20 other active trials observing the effect of psꪗchꫀdeꪶic drugs on mental health conditions. All trials are conducted in controlled clinical settings following US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) safety protocols and guidelines. Clinical therapies will not be used in practice settings until granted FDA approval.

Kimon de Greef is no stranger to underground economies, having spent years reporting on abalone poaching (Poacher) and other lesser-examined biotrades. Over the past half-decade, the South African journalist has trained that same analytical eye on 5-ℳ𝑒𝒪-DℳT, the potent and short-acting psꪗchꫀdeꪶic, culminating in his latest narrative non-fiction book, published today, Ego Trip.

It’s a fascinating read, full of fresh stories, angles, and anecdotes, a testament to de Greef’s rich field work and reporting, but also to the peculiarity of the molecule and the poachers, pharma execs, and seekers that are in its orbit.
