You and your pelvic floor are
🎵 TOGETHER. FOREVER 🎶 so let’s protect it🤍

Your birth ball can do a whole lot more than just bounce. 👀
Circles, figure 8s, side-to-side shifts, pelvic tilts… get those hips MOVING. 💃

Intentional movement on the ball can help keep your hips + pelvis mobile, give you more options for comfort, and help you practice movement you may actually want to use during labor.

🤰 Want to start practicing at home beyond the birth ball?
My $24.99 Birth Prep Movement Guide gives you the movements straight from my Birth Prep Experience to use throughout pregnancy. See 🔗 in bio🤍

✨ Want the FULL experience with me?

Note: Yes 😂 this ball is too small for me. Ideally, when you’re sitting on yours, your feet are flat and your hips should sit slightly higher than your knees.

Pelvic floor work doesn’t always have to feel complicated or clinical.

These stretches target the hips + muscles that work closely with your pelvic floor because your PF does NOT work alone. Ever.

Save this + try them later 💜

AND 👀 I’m working on something new for anyone who needs a little more pelvic floor relaxation in their life.

Symptoms of a tense PF can include: pain with intimacy, pelvic heaviness, overactive bladder, constipation.

Your pelvis is NOT a fixed structure. ESPECIALLY during birth. 👀

As your baby moves down, your pelvis needs to adapt by creating space through the inlet and then the outlet. Different positions can change pelvic dimensions, and movement gives your body access to that natural mobility.

That’s why I love birth prep movement to get the pelvic muscles and bones moving like butta 🧈✨

It’s not just about collecting a list of labor positions for later. It’s about moving NOW. Working on hip + pelvic mobility, breath, relaxation + body awareness so your body is more prepared to do what it was designed to do when birth begins. 💜

Your body was made for this. Let’s make sure it’s prepared so it can do exactly that

And yes… I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess “stay flat on your back” may have been next on the list 😅👀

Your birth team plays an incredibly important role, but pelvic floor prep? That’s my lane.

Holding your breath + pushing as hard as you can isn’t your only option. Your breath, pelvic floor, position, pressure management + your preferences matter too.

Current guidance supports individualized pushing techniques and freedom of position when appropriate.
You deserve to know your options BEFORE you’re in labor. 💜

Apparently we needed a Part 2 👀

One of the BIGGEST questions after my last post:
“Wait… you can do that with an epidural?!”

YES. An epidural does not automatically equal lying flat on your back for birth.

Depending on how your body responds, your medical needs + the support available, you may still have options for positioning including supported upright positions like this throne position. 👑

And as a pelvic floor PT, I LOVE getting moms thinking about this before labor.

✨ Different positions = different ways for your pelvis + pelvic floor to move
✨ You don’t automatically have to birth flat on your back
✨ Your epidural experience may look completely different from someone else’s
✨ Ask your team what positioning options they support before the big day
You have options. Know them. Talk about them. Practice them. 🤍
And we haven’t even gotten to the mirror yet... 👀

Follow for Part 3.

Pregnant + realizing you have way more birth options than you thought?!

this is the kind of birth support that makes me smile🤍

✨ Her breath never stopped moving.
✨ She was encouraged to stay connected to her body.
✨ A mirror helped her see what was happening instead of fearing it.
✨ Her care team worked with her - not against her.

To me, that’s birth prep.
Not memorizing the “perfect” breathing technique.
Not forcing a birth plan.

It’s understanding your body, supporting your nervous system, and having tools to respond to labor with confidence.

That’s exactly what we practice inside the Birth Prep Experience.
