Wondering if your child is ready for potty training? đŸšœ
It’s not just about age. It’s about noticing the patterns their body is starting to show. Things like staying dry during naps, keeping a diaper dry for longer stretches, pooping at predictable times, and no longer pooping overnight can all be signs that their bladder and bowel habits are becoming more ready for potty practice.
And remember: readiness doesn’t mean everything will be perfect right away. It simply means your child’s body may be starting to build the skills needed for potty success.

Balance practice doesn’t have to mean fancy equipment or extra time in your day. Some of the best opportunities to build balance happen during everyday routines!

👟 Stand up while putting on shoes or pants
đŸȘ„ Prop one foot on a stool while brushing teeth or doing hair
đŸš¶ Turn parking lines and curbs into balance beams

These simple activities challenge your toddler’s balance, coordination, body awareness, and strength—all while doing things you’re already doing anyway.
These small amounts of practice add up over time. đŸ’Ș

One activity = many skills
When kids practice jumping, they’re also building symmetry (using both feet together), coordination, power, motor planning, and knee flexion
all foundational skills that support safe movement future milestones.

So the next time your child is jumping off a curb or hopping around the living room, know that they’re doing a whole lot more than just having fun. ✹

Save this for later and follow along for more child development tips to get your kids moving!

🎈Instead of using your hands, use a cone. Hold it upside down with 2 hands to work on core strength and stability
🎈Use only your non-dominate hand to encourage bilateral coordination and development
🎈 Stand on one foot to work on balance
🎈 Play while in a tall kneel to improve core strength and posture
🎈Name a color or animal with each hit to combine motor & cognitive skills
