I can’t even begin to explain how much pain I’ve been in for the last three weeks. Barely able to get out of bed, sleeping with ice packs and heating pads, working in dark rooms. Thank God for technology I was still able to run my business from my bed but anything not extremely necessary wasn’t happened. The blessing of my chronic illness flares is picking what’s important and making that decision quickly.
Now that it’s cooler in Texas my body doesn’t feel like it’s going to overheat and break every time I walk outside or even open my blinds. I feel a little freer from the pain. Sometimes I get nervous when a flare last more than a few days. It gets harder to see the end of the extreme pain. My thoughts turn from “I got this, just gonna rest” to “wait, is this my new normal. Will I forever struggle to lift my body from my bed to go use the bathroom?”.
I’m thankful that today my body is feel a little better and if we go back to a flare tomorrow I’ll be grateful that I had today.
I’m case you missed it my Healing On Purpose Podcast is on hiatus for a month! Even though I’m feeling better today I don’t want to push my body.🤍
