Grilled steak, roasted sweet potatoes, and colorful veggies. One of my go-to bowls when I want protein, fiber, and steady blood sugar in one dish. 🥩
Protein + fiber together may help slow glucose absorption, which can mean fewer afternoon crashes and less “I’m starving an hour later.” Sweet potatoes give you resistant starch, which can feed the gut bacteria that produce short-chain fatty acids — one of the ways your gut lining stays supported.
GRILLED STEAK BOWL
— 1 lb sirloin or flank steak
— 2 medium sweet potatoes, cubed
— 1 zucchini + 1 red bell pepper, sliced
— 2 cups broccoli florets
— Olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika
1. Toss sweet potatoes in olive oil + salt. Roast 400°F for 25–30 min.
2. Season steak generously. Grill 4–5 min per side for medium, then rest 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
3. Toss veggies in olive oil and seasonings, roast or grill until just tender.
4. Build the bowl. Finish with olive oil and flaky salt.
