She wanted an unmedicated birth.

Then labor said, “Girl… we’re gonna have to adjust.” 😂

After a long induction, she got an epidural. Then she reached 10 cm, baby was OP, pushing was exhausting, and the monitor started showing decelerations.

The conversation was quickly moving toward a C-section.

But before making that decision, the team looked at what was happening and asked: What can we do right now to give mom and baby a little more time?

A Pitocin break. Repositioning. A chance for mom to rest and baby to recover.

And she ultimately had the vaginal birth she wanted.

Her epidural didn’t mean she failed.

And this is exactly why we believe birth education and birth strategy matter.
