The FDA and CDC, in collaboration with state and local partners, are investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to fresh jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors. A grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, that supplies to Coast Citrus The above mentioned Distributor was identified as the potential source in this outbreak
The recalled products were sold online in the Produce and Prepared Foods departments in the following states: TX, OK, LA, AR, WI, MI, IL, IN, IA, MO, KY, and OH, with Best Before/By dates of 8/7/2026 – 8/16/2026.
If your produce department bought from this food supplier quickly pull the products from your shelves.
Currently, there has been to report of death but check your refrigerator for these products and call Whole Foods Market for your refund.

The US Department of Agriculture ( USDA) published on August 11th 2926 the list of approved countries that are allowed to export meat, poultry and eggs. Before the aforementioned Agricultural products are exported from another country to the US it must meet the US criteria.
A certified establishment is an establishment that the country’s central competent authority (CCA) certifies as meeting the requirements of the inspection system that that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) determined equivalent to the United States inspection system and, therefore, eligible to export meat, poultry, or egg products to the United States.

Measles is a highly contagious, airborne respiratory disease caused by a virus. It spreads easily when an infected person coughs or sneezes, and the virus can linger in the air for up to two hours after they leave a room.
Rubella looks similar to Measles rashes which appear with fewer rashes but with swollen lymph nodes.
A study in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) found that 78% of 2,237 surveyed U.S. counties experienced measurable drops in MMR vaccination rates.
If this trajectory continues, researchers warn the U.S. will permanently lose its endemic measles elimination status.
Currently, there has been outbreaks across some states with Utah and South Carolina being the epicenter of the outbreaks.
Most of the hospitalizations were children under the age of 5 who were unvaccinated or do not know their vaccination status.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order recommending that the combined measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine be split into three separate single disease shots and administered across distinct medical visits. The directive also shifts several other pediatric vaccinations to shared decision making models and advises states to review school entry immunization mandates.
This executive order comes with practical, logistical, medical and public health implications.

Survival among Medicare Beneficiaries with Medicaid Disenrollment, 2015–2017.
The graphs below show unadjusted proportions of Medicare beneficiaries who remained alive after Medicaid disenrollment. Proportions are out of 969,606 beneficiaries with early Medicaid disenrollment (January through June) and 920,158 beneficiaries with late Medicaid disenrollment (July through December). Included are beneficiaries with full and partial Medicaid at baseline.

The US Food, and Drug Administration ( FDA) is aware that Becton Dickinson (BD) has issued a letter to affected customers recommending certain Intraosseous ( IO) Vascular Access System Needle Sets be removed from where they are used or sold.
This is because some users found out that some lots of the aforementioned medical devices were manufactured with out-of-tolerance dimensions, with the obturator (stylet).
Notably, these faulty devices as of July 22, has caused 45 serious injuries and led to four deaths associated with this issue.
Without waste of time, look at the devices below and check if you have this faulty BD IO’s in stock and immediately take them of your inventory.
