🚨 **ANOTHER MAJOR U.S. STUDY. ANOTHER WARNING ABOUT FLUORIDE.**

A new **NIH-supported ECHO study**, published in the *American Journal of Epidemiology*, followed **2,514 children across 23 states** and examined fluoride exposure from public drinking water during pregnancy.

Researchers found higher prenatal fluoride exposure was associated with **lower fluid-cognition scores in children** — including abilities involving memory, attention and problem-solving.

But THIS is the comparison everyone needs to see:

⚠️ **0.675 mg/L** — the study's best-fitting change point, above which increasing fluoride exposure was associated with progressively lower fluid-cognition scores.

💧 **0.7 mg/L** — the recommended fluoride concentration for fluoridated U.S. drinking water.

Above 0.675 mg/L, every additional 0.5 mg/L of fluoride was associated with an average **3.36-point decrease in fluid-cognition scores.**

And this is **NOT an isolated finding.**

The National Toxicology Program's review found **18 of 19 high-quality studies** examining children's IQ reported an inverse association with fluoride exposure. A 2025 *JAMA Pediatrics* meta-analysis of **74 studies** also found an association between greater fluoride exposure and lower children's IQ.

Now we have **ANOTHER major U.S. study** raising concerns at concentrations directly relevant to community water fluoridation.

**WHY ISN'T THIS NATIONAL NEWS?**

Pregnant women deserve to know. Parents deserve to know. **The public deserves to know.**

**Ozone isn't just a gas.**

When you hear “ozone therapy,” you might immediately think of O₃ in its gaseous form.

But in dentistry, ozone is commonly discussed and studied in **three different delivery forms:**

💨 **Gaseous ozone**
💧 **Ozonated water**
🫒 **Ozonated oils**

Why does that matter?

Because different forms allow ozone to be explored in very different clinical settings—from irrigation and topical applications to controlled gaseous delivery.

And that's where the idea of the **“Infinite Uses of Ozone”** really starts to get interesting.

Think ozone in dentistry is something new? **Think again.** 🦷

Ozone has been used in medicine for more than a century, and by the **1930s, Swiss dentist Dr. E. A. Fisch was using ozone and ozonated water in his dental practice.**

Nearly a century later, ozone continues to be studied and incorporated into dentistry in ways many dental professionals are only beginning to discover.

That history is part of what inspired the theme of the **2027 IABDM Annual Conference: The Infinite Uses of Ozone.**
