Sometimes what looks like under-eye fat… isn’t just fat. ↓

→ In this patient’s case, there is some under-eye fat, but part of the fullness comes from a hypertrophied orbicularis oculi muscle.

Depending on the cause, botulinum toxin may be considered to help relax the muscle—meaning surgery may not always be the appropriate approach.

A proper evaluation is key to determining what’s actually causing the under-eye fullness and which treatment may be appropriate for you.
