I didn’t change my life by doing something drastic.
I changed it in the ordinary.

In the quiet, daily choices that didn’t look like much at first…
but ended up changing everything.

I started giving God my mornings
before I gave my energy to anything else.

I stopped rushing through my days
and made room for pauses…
for breath…
for His presence.

I began releasing control 😮‍💨
even in the middle of my endless to-do lists…
and allowing space for His “divine interruptions”…staying present in a conversation, sitting in my car a little longer, letting something wait.

Little by little,
my life started to feel different.

Not because everything around me changed…
but because I wasn’t living braced for it anymore.

God meets us in the ordinary.
In the small choices.
In the moments that feel repetitive or unseen.

And those moments are not wasted.

If you’ve been feeling the tension

and how you’ve been living…

that’s not random.

So many of us have normalized living stressed, tense, disconnected, and tired.

And honestly… in the world we live in right now, that makes sense.

There is so much devastation, heartbreak, grief, noise, and uncertainty around us. Every single day. We open social media and absorb heavy headlines. We turn on the TV and see more heartbreak. We carry personal responsibilities while also carrying the weight of what’s happening in the world.

But survival mode is not the only mode available to us.

God designed our bodies with the ability to regulate, recover, and return to peace.

Our bodies were not made to live in constant alarm.

Rest is not a reward after burnout. It’s part of the design.

Sometimes peace looks like putting the phone down. Turning the lights low. Taking a deep breath. Praying. Reading something that nourishes you.

Letting your body know the day is over.

Not every night will be perfect.

But small choices can teach your nervous system that it’s safe to slow down. 🫶🏽

Lately, I’ve been learning what it really means to find joy in the process.
Not once the prayer is answered or the vision is clear—but right here, in the middle of it all.

Joy in my own strength runs out fast… but when I lean into God, I’m reminded that joy is not something I chase. It’s something I choose…because He’s with me in the waiting, the working, and the wondering.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” — James 1:2–4 💛
