Vets Emerging from Sexual Assault BY Someone in the VA

Vets Emerging from Sexual Assault BY Someone in the VA Pushing Regs of system towards the assailed, not VAMC coverup. Dr's are losing licenses w victims' evidence! VA claims Pt's "safe." WE SERVED fed govt.

The VA says its MST programs are only for patients who were assaulted while still in uniform. It is a system that is more concerned about not being implicated than in putting a shattered life back together. That means keeping a survivor of a patient-raping physician *in the VA* out of group therapy, telling caregivers not to add clinic notes about PTSD symptoms stemming from the sexual attack, not ordering C&P exams when someone tries to file for disability.

This week is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week | Esta semana es la Semana Nacional de los Derechos de las Víctimas de Delitos.

Since 1981, National Crime Victims Rights Week has served as an opportunity to learn about the effects victimization has on individuals, families, friends, and the community. May we all take time to acknowledge and show support to those who have been impacted, and thank you to the programs that help those who have been victims of crime.

So critical! VA doesn’t understand at all that they’re letting ladies’ lives go down the drain by not bringing in expertise for this.
The multidisciplinary clinics in Houston made an informal pact and not one of them will accept VA Community Care payments, and a lot of drugs utilized by these docs aren’t on VA Formulary.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Sexual assault is any sexual activity that is not consensual — and no one should ever face it alone. 1 in 6 men and 1 in 5 women experience sexual violence in their lifetime. These are not just statistics. They are our neighbors, our colleagues, and members of our community.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and HCSO stand with survivors and remain committed to seeking justice and providing support.
