Let’s talk about August sessions vs October!
It’s hot now. I am painfully aware. But my most recent outdoor sessions have ALL commented that the session goes quickly and it’s not nearly as hot as they expect since we start in late evening and I keep them in the shade the whole time. 100+ photo galleries, all done in about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, these clients have their photos done and dusted for the year, got their pick of dates because my schedule is wide open right now, and if the weather follows last year’s trends, it will still be in the 90s until late October.
In short: October isn’t any less hot, but it’s almost fully booked— do the pictures now, while I have openings!

Imagine someone asking what you do for a living and getting to say you photograph this. I took a risk with this session going into a lake in midday having no idea what the water clarity would be like, but this beautiful water nymph session was such a pinch-me moment.
