🌟 Cheers to RPH’s own Ms. Dale! 🌟

This week, RPH celebrated the retirement of someone truly irreplaceable. After working for more years than many of us have been alive, Ms. Dale has officially begun her next chapter.
It’s only been a few days, but the office already feels different. We miss hearing her laugh echo through the halls and her signature “Hey babyy!” that could brighten even the busiest day. Everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside her has their own special story, but one thing we can all agree on is this: Ms. Dale is deeply loved.
We were honored to celebrate her with a retirement dinner surrounded by her work family and her wonderful family at home. As we reflected on her career and life, we were reminded of the incredible strength, passion, and perseverance she has shown through every challenge; from Hurricane Katrina, to battling cancer, to navigating countless workplace transitions with grace and determination.
Ms. Dale has been a steady presence, a source of wisdom, and a friend to so many. While we will certainly miss her, we are grateful that she now has the opportunity to enjoy a simpler pace of life and all the adventures retirement has to offer.
Thank you, Ms. Dale, for your years of dedication, your kindness, your resilience, and the countless lives you’ve touched along the way. Your legacy will remain a part of our office for years to come.
🥂 Here’s to retirement, relaxation, and all the joy ahead. Cheers to you, Ms. Dale! ❤️

💧 Stay Hydrated, Stay Strong! 💧
Your body and your bones need water!
Staying hydrated isn’t just about quenching your thirst. Water plays an important role in keeping your joints lubricated, helping nutrients reach your bones and muscles, regulating body temperature, and supporting overall health.
When you’re dehydrated, you may notice:
Easy Ways to Increase Your Daily Water Intake:
💧 Start your morning with a glass of water before coffee or tea.
💧 Carry a reusable water bottle wherever you go.
💧 Add flavor with lemon, lime, cucumber, or fresh berries.
💧 Eat water-rich foods like watermelon, strawberries, cucumbers, and oranges.
💧 Drink a glass of water with every meal and snack.
Small sips add up! Your body, joints, bones, and energy levels will thank you.

Protect Your Skin This Summer ☀️🧴 Summer Is Here! Don’t Forget Your Sunscreen!
Longer days and sunny skies mean more time outdoors, but they also mean increased exposure to harmful UV rays.
Protect your skin by:
☀️ Applying broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher
☀️ Reapplying every 2 hours (and after swimming or sweating)
☀️ Wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses
☀️ Seeking shade during peak sun hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
For many people living with rheumatic diseases, certain medications and conditions can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. Taking a few simple precautions can help you enjoy the season safely.
Healthy skin is part of a healthy you so stay sun smart this summer!

Exercise for Stronger Bones 💪🦴

Move More Today for Stronger Bones Tomorrow!
Did you know that your bones get stronger when you use them? Weight-bearing and resistance exercises help stimulate bone growth, improve balance, and reduce the risk of fractures as we age.
✅ Walking
✅ Dancing
✅ Climbing stairs
✅ Strength training with weights or resistance bands
✅ Low-impact aerobics
Just 30 minutes of activity most days of the week can make a difference for your bone health. Before starting a new exercise program, be sure to talk with your healthcare provider about what activities are right for you. Strong bones support an active life, so keep moving!!

In February, leadership from Rheumatology Partners of Houston joined forces with the leadership team from Rheumatology Associates in Dallas at the STAR Conference in Grapevine Texas.

We gained valuable insight into how healthcare is evolving and what it takes to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-changing environment. From innovation to patient-centered strategies, it was an incredible learning experience for everyone who attended.
