🥣 Oatmeal isn't making people overweight.
Let's stop blaming individual foods for problems that are usually much bigger.
The question isn't:
"Is oatmeal good or bad?"
The question is:
"Is oatmeal helping YOU reach YOUR goals?"
For some people, oatmeal is an excellent choice.
✅ Fiber
✅ Satiety
✅ Beta-glucan for cholesterol support
✅ Convenient breakfast option
For others, especially those with insulin resistance, uncontrolled diabetes, or significant carbohydrate sensitivity, oatmeal may not be the best fit.
And that's okay.
The problem with modern nutrition is that everyone wants a simple answer.
"Oatmeal is amazing."
"Oatmeal is terrible."
Neither statement is universally true.
Context matters.
A bowl of plain oats with protein and healthy fats is not the same thing as a giant bowl loaded with brown sugar, maple syrup, and dried fruit.
The human body doesn't care about food trends.
It responds to inputs.
The goal isn't to join Team Oatmeal or Team Anti-Oatmeal.
The goal is to find what works for your body, your metabolism, your labs, and your goals.
Because nutrition isn't a religion.
It's physiology.
