I’ve been up to some fun things lately like being in a corn hole league! The Cobfathers have officially finished our regular season of corn hole, just in time for me to head out tomorrow night to Denver for the Transplant Games of America. I’ll be playing corn hole as my first event on Thursday with my partner who is a kidney recipient. Make sure to check back daily starting Thursday for updates on the Games! I can’t wait to tell you all about this experience.

Not health related: I’m requesting an unspoken prayer request for something I’ve decided to finally attempt now that I’ve been given a second chance! I’m not quite ready to reveal what this journey is quite yet but asking that you all would join me in praying about what is ahead!

One month guys!! One month until I get to spend a week around some incredible donor families, living donors, and other recipients and compete in some Olympic Style Game!! I just can’t wait. If you would like to support Team Alabama and help raise awareness for the importance of organ donation I’ve left my fundraising link in the comments below!

Join us at our Opening Ceremony -- only 1 month away!!

The Opening Ceremony is characterized by a mix of emotional stories, stirring performances, and symbolic gestures that honor those who have received the gift of life through organ transplants while paying tribute to the selflessness of donors. Athletes proudly parade, representing a diverse array of transplant recipients, showcasing the triumph of the human spirit over adversity. This event is a powerful reminder of the impact of organ donation, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among participants who share a common journey of survival, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for the preciousness of life.

Together, we celebrate survival, unity, and the extraordinary impact of organ donation—reminding us all just how precious life truly is.

Training for the Transplant Games of America coming up next month! I’ll be competing as a division 1 athlete (solid organ recipient) in bowling, pickleball, co****le, swimming, and the 5k. This will be my first Transplant Games of many I hope and I’ll be there with Team Alabama. Would you help us bring awareness to the importance of Organ Donation by donating in the link in the comments? Every little bit counts and would mean the world to me!

May is Mental Health Awareness month so what better time than now to talk about mental health after transplant. This is my journey and I can only share what I’ve experienced.
