We are in San Francisco at UCSF attending the CSF Leaks CME, and it is an incredible event to be part of. This group of professionals is truly committed to putting patients first by advancing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of CSF leaks.

Because we know CSF leaks directly lead to debilitating headaches, this work matters. We are proud to stand alongside this community, as our mission is fully aligned: preventing Post-Dural Puncture Headaches and improving patient outcomes with the Gertie Marx Spinal Needle.

Employee Highlight: Preston Harris

Preston recently graduated from Weber State University with his Bachelors in Business Administration and manages both shipping and inventory here at IMD. Preston has a love for soccer and coaches at Box Elder High School. Preston also enjoys traveling with his wife, playing golf, and being outdoors.

Recently, we asked ourselves a simple question at International Medical Development. What is our WHY?

After thoughtful discussion, the answer was clear. The patient.

While we do not sell directly to patients, everything we do ultimately impacts them. We serve hospitals and physicians, but our purpose goes beyond supplying products. It is about supporting better outcomes.

Post Dural Puncture Headache is a very real complication. In many cases, needle design plays a significant role in that risk.

The Gertie Marx Spinal Needle is designed to significantly reduce the incidence of PDPH. When providers have access to tools that lower risk, patients benefit.

Outside of work, Alicia loves spending time with her family in the great outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or traveling together, she values creating lasting memories through shared adventures. At home, she enjoys cultivating her yard with a thriving garden and a beautiful wildflower patch.
