My beautiful daughters and bonus mom - love that I have the freedom to go out with them and fully enjoy the time - scones and all. 😄
We had a lovely afternoon tea time at a local tea shop. Healthy food? No. 😅 Delicious? Yes. Can I do this weekly and still maintain my weight and metabolic health? No. Not as a mid-life mama with an autoimmune disease.
But can I enjoy a fun splurge once a month or so? Yes!
And I know that fully enjoying the food and time is healthier than fretting over every crumb of food or avoiding certain celebrations because something isn't perfect or pristine quality.
Btw... I made up for the lack of protein by going across the street to our favorite local burger place and getting a bunless burger with the hubby after he get off work. 😋
I teach an 80/20 approach in my coaching because life happens.... and I don't want to fret over special celebrations or be a slave to a diet plan. And I bet you don't either. 😘
