Gassho translates to "joining hands together."

Its the first pillar of traditional Usui Reiki and where every session I offer begins.

Here, your palms meet at your heart center, fingers pointing up, thumbs press lightly into your sternum.

This is more than simply holding your palms together. This ritual is where we activate Reiki and connect to it flowing through our hands. It is space for stillness, intention, and focus.

I'll be teaching the foundation and history of Usui Reiki in my upcoming Level 1 trainings - online & in person in Indian Trail.

The sutras are gone. The breathwork is gone. The meditation is gone. Most yoga now is movement with a playlist.

I sat with a fellow yogi recently and we both said the same thing. Traditional yoga is disappearing. It's being replaced by sculpt classes and bridal shower flows and whatever format fits the trend.

I've been watching it happen for years and it breaks my heart.

I fell in love with the practice 19 years ago because of the depth. It's why I wanted to be a teacher!

I still teach the breathwork and the philosophy. I still sit in the quiet parts that most classes skip over now. But it feels like less and less want that anymore.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Before my energy healing sessions begin, I have my clients select palm stones for support.

I intentionally keep crystals that aren't mainstream. Most of my clients have never seen them before. They often don't know what they're picking up.

One for each hand. Sometimes matching. Sometimes not.

And they always choose exactly what they need.

Level 1 | Saturday, September 12th, 10am - 4pm
This is your foundation - Reiki principles, energy anatomy, and self-healing.

Level 2 | Sunday, September 13th, 10am - 4pm
This is where you'll learn to share Reiki with others - symbols, tools, and holding space.

You'll receive an attunement, manual, and certificate for each training.

But our connection doesnt stop there. Join my community chat group with practitioners of all levels and backgrounds, and receive lifelong mentorship from me.

Space is limited to 4 students. Preregistration is required 48 hours in advance.

Option to take both trainings or just one.
