I've been meditating for almost 20 years. And it wasn't until I stopped trying to make it look a certain way that I actually got somewhere.
Sitting up straight in silence, my body was too busy being uncomfortable to settle.
Lying down feels more supportive. Cozy clothes help me feel safe. An eye pillow blocks out distractions. Sound soothes my mind.
When I stopped fighting my nervous system and started working with it, meditation finally clicked.
There's no "right" way to meditate. There's just your way.
