Hey quick question and this is SO genuine Iā€™m not even kidding or trying to be rudeā€¦

When leaving a comment on a hair video (obviously Iā€™m referencing mine) what is the point of starting it off withā€¦

ā€This is not anything I would EVER do to my hair or wear myselfā€¦ā€ or ā€œI donā€™t typically like neon colorsā€¦ā€

Then following it up with ā€œbut this is so beautiful and amazing etcā€??

Iā€™m so curious at what people feel like the relevance is there.

TO ME- it comes off very backhanded or almost like people canā€™t leave a comment without making it about themselves somehow but maybe Iā€™m just jaded from being online too long šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

Allergies to products are no joke and if you have a reaction you should immediately see a dermatologist. This is how I have combated my allergy to bleach and still have my neon hair. Ammonia free bleach with an enzyme developed from trionics often times with antidot pro added in.

UNHINGED POST WARNING āš ļø

If you have been here for a while you know I take time to educate not only my audience but my clients and I do it simultaneously. I started making 8min videos simply for context alone.

Over the last year I have fought for my life in the comments section of every platform I post to trying to get people to either pay attention, do some light research on their own or even just use the context provided for them. While this is certainly not my job, the whole point of educating is to help/teach and I want it to be as simplified as possible.

Recently I started responding to some comments with the simple question ā€œwhat do you think?ā€ Of course that went wild bc ā€œitā€™s rudeā€ (itā€™s not)šŸ¤­ the point of this is to get people to THINK. Often times the question is either answered for them in the video. Other times itā€™s common sense (which Iā€™m learning is not so common) and more often than not itā€™s one google search away.

I have to wonder why it is people would comment a question they may never get a response to vs getting instant info via Googleā€¦.dont get me wrong I am flattered that people trust my opinion and advice but every creator SHOULD BE FACT CHECKED.

I love making educational videos and I love doing hair but I give so much info, at some point the viewer has to take it on themselves to dive in further.
