Whether you’re pressed for time or weighed down by thoughts and worries… even in such moments, the Japanese tea ceremony offers you an opportunity.Even if you can’t create a special place or a special time, it can serve as a hint for returning to yourself—right where you are and whatever you’re doing right now.
Naomi: The workshop will help your face awareness, and how expressions and emotions affect the neck.
Patrick: I’ve given many workshops on this topic to people who have no idea what AT is. I avoid AT jargon and include games specially designed for complete beginners. Substack: https://smartbodyalexandertechnique.substack.com/

Judith: When we ‘come to quiet’, we are in an optimum place to make a choice and create change. Alexander’s discoveries teach a process of ‘unlearning’ and ‘undoing’ that aligns the mind and the heart, the cognitive and somatic worlds, reigniting your innate freedom and ease via your brain–body bond – in every activity. The Alexander Technique guides you to this ease and freedom in your movements through an increased awareness of your habitual reactions, and offers a step-by-step process leading to different choices – and change.
Julia: Learning is empowering. Everything you need to bring ease and resilience into your life is already within you – this approach simply teaches you how to use it consciously. You will go away from this session with something to reflect on and practise on your own.
Tania: Anyone can benefit from the Alexander Technique. Learning to recognize unhelpful habitual patterns, how to move from reaction to response, and how to improve our whole body coordination can help us respond to stress with resilience, move through life with greater ease, and experience a deeper sense of agency.
Rosa Luisa: If you’ve never experienced the Alexander Technique, this workshop offers a practical and accessible way to discover how greater awareness of your thinking, movement, and habits can bring more ease into everyday life. You’ll leave with practical insights and tools that you can immediately apply to enhance your well-being, presence, and overall quality of life.

Gabriella and Francesca: Post-secondary institutions often operate within disciplinary boundaries that can limit opportunities for students to find connections between various areas of study, and attend to their well-being. This workshop introduces the Alexander Technique (AT) as a practical, accessible approach to fostering self-awareness, adaptability, and resilience across diverse educational contexts. The session provides an introduction to AT’s core principles and explores how they can support student learning. Drawing on our experiences teaching AT in a variety of post-secondary settings, the session presenters will share lessons learned, discuss opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration, and examine how embodied learning approaches can help students navigate transitions into higher education and beyond into their careers and lives.
Joy and Bob: Most of us were taught that turbulent times call for pushing harder. What we keep seeing in 2026 – in performers, in students, in ourselves – is that pushing harder in a body that's already braced and exhausted adds to the strain rather than easing it. This session is a chance to feel a different option: what your breath and voice do when you stop adding effort and explore your breath and voice. You don’t need to know anything about the Alexander Technique to take part. You need a chair, an hour, a straw – if you have one handy, and a willingness to notice what’s already available to support you.
Ainesh: This is an introductory workshop, aimed particularly for people who are not familiar with the technique. Since it will be light and playful, it will help people who are not familiar with the technique not to be intimidated. The idea is to allow people to be able to approach the technique in a simple way. Also, I will spend time on questions and discussion so that people can have doubts clarified, which will hopefully make it more accessible.
Rosa Luisa and Kanae: アレクサンダー・テクニークを初めて学ぶ方にも、このワークショップは、自分の考え方や動き、日々の習慣への気づきを深め、毎日の暮らしにより多くの「楽さ」とゆとりをもたらすための、実践的で親しみやすい入門の機会です。日常生活ですぐに役立てられる具体的な気づきと実践方法を持ち帰り、心身のウェルビーイング、今この瞬間にいる感覚(プレゼンス)、そして生活の質を高めるためのヒントを得ることができます。
