I posted this video a week ago, and facebook decided to turn it into a picture for a messaging app.

Thanks Zuck!

Anyways - most of this MIgraine Magician campaign I've sort of held the main focus behind my back because I guess I thought it might sound too ambitious or hokey, but the reality is that my interest in this is really bi-fold, or maybe tri-fold.

Yes, I think it can help some people. My wife swears by it. We we're somewhere last week and she started getting the signs of migraine and what she reached for was the Migraine Magician alongside Horse-Strength Excedrin.

I'm reaching out to former students who have told me they want to try entrepreneurial actvities as a career or a side hustle.

Most, if not all of them, are motivated y altruistic desire to help their communities and make technology more accessible.

That's what we want to do with the migraine magician. Make our money back, put a little bit out to buy a toy or two, and then pust the majority back to pay for the next idea.

I've got 4 or 5 of them. My partners do as well.

But do my students and the kids around the area. So many great ideaas - but almost no college kid can drop $10k to get started.

Are you tired of the Corridor of Shame? I am.

I'm going to try to do something about it with tech start ups and local companies that use modern tools to bring that opportunity to SC. All we need is some internet connections and some creativity.

Oh, yeah. Apparently my videos are long and boring, which is totally valid. I am what I am - brevity is a sin.

I was playing guitar the other day and someone asked me what I was doing with my right hand.

Well, I don't really know. I guess this?

Time flies when you're having fun - and I'm so grateful for things I get the opportunity to do these days. I wish our country was in better shape, but we'll keep fighting.

I've got a great family, a tight circle of really solid friends, and I get to be present in my community to fight for the things I believe in.
My cup runneth over in that sense.

I've been teaching engineering design about 8 years now, but I've got about 30 years in various environments of R&D and product development

For most of those 8 years I've been pushing for ways to integrate k-12 and university settings and we're making progress. I get to work with the coolest people on these projects.

Every year I have talented students who ask me how to convert their ideas into products, and honestly very few of them are able to do it.

This is time consuming and expensive.

Those students take jobs making Real Money for them and the opportunity is lost. We all just never get that product they were going to build. That's our loss.

One of the things about the Migraine Magician concept is that our company is made up entirely of local engineering and teaching professionals, and a significant part is for us to directly help foster an environment where students and entrepreneurs feel more supported.

What they need is money for startup costs, which means we need people to help us get Kickstarter funded once we go live.

I've been quoted $50k to market for a $20k Kickstarter.

To me that's crazy.

I already know several former students are interested in pursuing these types of entrepreneur projects.

I need eyeballs ready to commit to funding Kickstarter.
If y'all are interested, let me know.

Well, I don't really know. I guess this?

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Hey everyone,

This past weekend my wife experienced the onset of a migraine and used the Migraine Magician to help manage some of the pain and discomfort. She's dealt with migraines since before we met, so seeing what those attacks can do to someone's day has been a big part of why this project exists.

This time, I happened to walk in while she was using the device and we had the presence of mind to capture some video. The original footage was about 15 minutes long, so we've trimmed it down to some of the highlights.

It's still pretty amazing to me that something that started as an idea, a few prototypes, and a lot of engineering tinkering has become a tool she actually reaches for when a migraine hits.

We're getting ready to launch our Kickstarter and begin making these available more broadly.

If migraines or stress-tension headaches are something you deal with, take a look at the video. Maybe it could help you too.

Hey everyone - we wanted to put up a quick video to do a basic introduction to the Hegu Pressure Point manipulation and how the Migraine Magician improves on centuries old technique for migraine and tension headache relief.

We're getting closer to our Kickstarter Kickoff this summer.

Have you tried pressure point manipulation for migraine or head ache relief? Does it work for you?

We hope you'll follow and like and help us get this off ground and for people to try.

One thing we've been pretty amazed by is just how common migraine and stress-tension related headaches really are.

It seems like almost every time we talk to someone about their experiences with migraines — or mention the Migraine Magician — we find out that they either suffer from migraines themselves or have someone close to them who does.

Migraines can feel incredibly isolating and frustrating, especially when the people around you don’t fully understand what you’re experiencing — or worse, don’t believe how serious they can be.

FACT: Migraines are one of the leading causes of disability among adults in the United States and can have a major impact not only on individual lives, but on all of us through lost time, reduced productivity, and the inability to simply enjoy daily life.

The Migraine Magician is a reusable, non-pharmaceutical wellness device that uses adjustable pressure point application in the hand (or foot).

Some people may choose to use it on its own, while others may choose to incorporate it alongside existing medications or wellness routines they already trust.

If you already have a routine that works for you, maybe this is something that could help provide additional comfort or support while you prepare to take care of yourself.

And if you’re still searching for approaches that work for you, maybe pressure point application is something worth exploring.

We’re always looking to learn, grow, and connect with others who have experience with migraines and stress-related headaches.

Hi ,

We're ramping up getting ready for our Kickstarter Launch in June. We're looking to get interest from our friends, family & strangers who experience migraines and tension-stress headaches.

We're collecting information so we can make sure that we have y'all plugged into our database as this project moves forward. Whether you want to just keep informed, back the kickstarter or share us with your network we appreciate all of the interest.

I made this video a few weeks ago while I was wrapping up some yoga on the porch. I'm a left-brained scientific-minded engineer, but I've found that practices like yoga, massage and pressure point stimulation help me with hand fatigue from typing or playing guitar, as well as just stress - sometimes I think I'm using it as a fidget as much as anything else.

Whatever your perspective - this device lets you bring controlled pressure where other products simply don't cut it.

Hi everyone — it’s been a minute since we first created our social media pages and started sharing ideas around this project.

The response has honestly been incredible. We deeply appreciate everyone who has reached out, asked questions, tried prototypes, shared feedback, and helped us refine these concepts over the past several years.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been building the foundation to move this project forward responsibly — developing partnerships, exploring manufacturing pathways, and putting the legal and organizational structure into place.

We still have a lot to learn and improve, but we think it’s finally time to begin getting our first devices into the hands of a wider public.

Dr. G.’s Migraine Magician was inspired by real lived experience with migraines and the frustration of feeling powerless when symptoms strike.

The device is a simple, adjustable, reusable mechanical tool designed to apply controlled pressure to the Hegu (LI4) pressure point — helping users integrate pressure-point routines into their daily wellness practices in a more practical and consistent way.

This isn’t just a concept sketch. We’ve built and tested working prototypes, established manufacturing pathways, partnered with experienced engineering and manufacturing professionals, and are now preparing for our Kickstarter launch.

Over the next several weeks we’ll be sharing a variety of information on this project:

Most importantly — we want to hear from you.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported us so far.

We’re just getting started.

p.s. My wife posted pictures of us dancing our our kid's wedding last night, so she certainly mind being featured in this announcement 🙂 Watching her and my step-daughter use these acupuncture techniques to treat their migraines was the original inspiration for this device.
