Holy heat wave, Batman!! The PNW is experiencing extreme conditions this weekend. As I see all the posts of athletes participating in tournaments this weekend, I can’t help but to worry for the athletes, and coaches, and even fans! This is a great info graphic on recognizing the signs and symptoms of 1. Drink both water and electrolyte drinks containing sodium (ie. )
2. Drink frozen drinks and slushees to cool yourself down rapidly
3. PRE-HYDRATE!! So, so important. Don’t wait until you are thirsty; at that point you are already at risk for dehydration

Play safe, and watch your or yourself for the signs!
