This October marks 40 years since the opening of Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus. What began in 1986 with only 30 physicians has grown into a world-class destination medical center with nearly 1000 physicians & scientists. What does Tuesday education look like in our neurology residency? Sometimes, it looks a lot less like a lecture hall and a lot more like this. 🧠

Throughout the year, our residents head to the Simulation Center for interactive workshops designed around the skills we use at the bedside - from lumbar punctures and injections to stroke alerts, brain death examinations, and other challenging clinical scenarios.

It’s an opportunity to practice procedures, work through high-stakes decisions, learn from one another, and get real-time feedback in a supportive environment.

Because some of the best learning happens by doing. 💉🧠
