I’m so glad you’re here 🤍

✨I’ve been a doula since 2023, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and now as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). My passion? Helping you feel seen, supported, and confident every step of the way.

✨While I work with all families, I hold a special place in my heart for military families. Growing up near a joint base and later working as a nanny on base, I saw firsthand the unique challenges—and strength—that come with that lifestyle. Life came full circle when I fell in love with a Marine, packed up my life, and you know the rest! Being part of this community gives me a deeper understanding and allows me to support you in a way that’s both personal and practical. But no matter your background—every mother deserves compassionate, judgment-free care, and I’m here for YOU.

✨When I’m not supporting my clients, I’m with my little crew—my fiancé, my sweet (and sassy) 5-year-old, and our three dogs, 4 frogs, and 5 fish. You’ll usually find me reading, at a hockey game, by a bonfire, fishing, or squeezing in a gym session.

I’ve been getting asked recently why I have been so inactive lately with posting and where the heck Bump to Baby Doula Care went.

I’m still here!! I just rebranded to Boots and Roots Doula and Lactation.
I moved to Jacksonville, NC to be with my family and decided to primarily work with military families as well as get certified in lactation. I am in the process of becoming a TriCare provider, which means families I work with will have a reimbursement up to a certain amount! I am still taking clients for this summer- DM me for availability😊

Hi there!
Here’s the long awaited update— I have officially relocated back to the carolinas! I recently started an internship under Heidi which is an incredible opportunity! During this time, I am also starting my journey towards my IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).
There has been so many beautiful changes within the last few weeks that I am so grateful for with lots of support from friends and family at each step I take. On the inside, I am still me, making time to read more books, spend time with my dogs and loved ones, and watching hockey!

Hey all! My name is Kate and I am the owner of Bump to Baby Doula Care. The most common question I get asked is how I ended up working as a doula and to know more about my life/ experience.
I started out as a career nanny over 4 years ago and have always loved working with newborns. I knew that it was something I had a passion for, and I wanted to do more. It’s important for me to be close with the families I work for, and I knew I wanted to do more. After speaking with a midwife, she gave me the idea to become a doula and I loved the idea and within a few weeks I had my first certification.
I moved back to NJ from the Carolinas to further my career and it was the best decision I could have made. I’ve worked with tons of families that I always do my best to keep in contact with, even after I am no longer working with them. I am so thankful to be trusted to work with the families that I do, and am overwhelmingly excited to continue my dream.
