Shakira is a trauma-informed yoga instructor, Air Force veteran, and advocate for making wellness more accessible in underserved communities. After moving to Jacksonville, she discovered yoga during a period of personal growth and quickly noticed the lack of representation within the wellness space.

Certified for over a year, I now teach yoga with an organization, bringing yoga and mindfulness practices into veteran support clinics, recovery centers, correctional facilities, community spaces, and after-school programs throughout underserved communities.

My mission is to create safe, healing spaces where people from all backgrounds feel seen, supported, and empowered through movement and breath.
