Being selected as the FIRST Sickle Cell Strong Warrior Spotlight Winner means so much to me! 🏆❤️

Thank you, Breaking The Sickle Cell Silence, Sickle Cell Strong. for recognizing my journey, faith, advocacy, and the work I do through Project Little Veins. Your words truly touched my heart! ❤️‍🩹

And I’m especially excited about receiving my Warrior Appreciation Basket from you all soon! 🧺 I’m always making care packages for other Warriors, so it feels SO special to finally have one made for me! 🫶🏾I can’t wait to unbox it and share it with y’all! 🤗

Sickle Cell Science Day at Nemours Children’s Health was AMAZING! ❤️‍🩹

Nemours cared for me from infancy through adolescence as I battled sickle cell and stage 4 neuroblastoma. To return with Little Veins & Richardwbhi as an advocate was truly a blessing. 🫶🏾 Selena Webster-Bass

I got to work alongside my fellow sickle cell warrior and brother, Kenneth Jerido, also a former Nemours patient as well as his wife Trinity 💪🏾 We connected with warriors and families, educated kids, handed out goodies, and raised funds for upcoming sickle cell events. 🩸

I even met a child battling the same cancer I once battled, a girl going through the process of being cured from sickle cell, and reconnected with the doctors and nurses who cared for me growing up. 🥹❤️ I also saw several sickle cell warriors who are already part of our family. There were so many superheroes in one room! 🦸🏾‍♀️🦸🏾‍♂️🦸🏻‍♀️🦸🏻‍♂️

God has brought me from patient to advocate—and soon, from advocate to researcher. My little voice and little veins are making a BIG difference! ✨
