🎤What is your origin story?: How did you first get into DJing, and what was the very first record or track you ever mixed?
🎧It didn’t start how you’d imagine. I had an idea to raise funds for a scholarship program which included hiring a DJ. The quotes I received for DJ service did not align with the budget… I invested in myself and asked DJ IZ if he would help me. I was noticed by DJ Uniique at an event with DJ IZ, three months later, I was deejaying on the club/bar circuit in Jacksonville, NC. First track I ever mixed was Earth, Wind & Fire - September.
🎤What is your signature vibe?: If you had to describe your musical style or the energy you bring in just three words, what would they be?

🎤What is your ultimate "crowd-pleaser"?: What is the one track you know will instantly get everyone moving, no matter the crowd?
🎧I say this with extreme bias, my favorite group, Earth, Wind & Fire - September.
🎤Why this cause or event?: What personally inspired you to volunteer your time and talent for this specific 5K/community event?
🎧When I received the call, the cause aligned with my Charity Gig Circuit guidelines. It feels amazing to be able to help reduce the operational overhead costs to commit to the greater good of the community.
🎤What is your favorite community memory?: What is the most rewarding or memorable experience you’ve had while DJing a local or charity event?
🎧Blue Creek Elementary School, fundraiser dances. The kids have so much fun and they always thank me for deejaying. It’s truly a sight to see.
🎤How do you read the room?: How do you plan to gauge the energy of the runners and crowd to keep the motivation high throughout the day?
🎧I cue test tracks to check the vibe, scan the audience to see if it’s a hit and think at least 10 tracks ahead to keep the vibe going.
🎤What is your secret pump-up track?: When you need an instant boost of energy yourself, what song do you put on?

🎤What is the funniest request you've received?: What is the most unusual or unexpected song request someone has ever made at a gig?
🎧“Basketball Shuffle”, a song I’ve never heard of in my life… I asked another DJ that worked the event with me if he heard of the song, he was just as puzzled as I was. I searched YouTube and the results were simply basketball drills - no music. This guy was relentless, after about what seemed to be the millionth time approaching the DJ booth, I asked him to sing it. He couldn’t remember all of the lyrics but proceeded to perform the accompanying line dance… it was not the “Basketball Shuffle” it was the “Biker’s Shuffle”.
🎤What are your go-to non-DJ hobbies?: When you are completely away from the decks and headphones, how do you love to spend your time?
🎧Gaming and coding; currently learning Python.
