It's not that you're broken.
It's your vagus nerve.

VAGUS NERVE

Your body's calm and reset nerve.

It controls calm, digestion and heart rate.
It stores trauma and triggers freeze.
It connects brain to gut daily.

Too low causes:

- Anxiety
- Gut issues
- Racing heart
- Always in fight-or-flight
- Can't relax

What heals it:
Deep breathing
Humming / Chanting
Cold exposure
Gargling
Long exhales

Built for calm.
Broken by stress.

Follow for what your body is really doing 👁️

Sometimes the voice in your head is far harsher than anything you would ever say to someone you care about.

“I can’t do this.”
“I’m not good enough.”
“I messed everything up.”
“Everyone else is doing better than me.”
“I should be able to handle this.”

When thoughts like these show up again and again, they can start to feel like facts. But a thought is not automatically the truth.
Changing the way you talk to yourself does not mean pretending everything is fine or forcing yourself to “think positive.” It means finding words that are fairer, kinder and more useful.

“I can’t do this” can become “What’s one part of this I can handle?”
“I messed up” can become “What matters is what I do next.”
“I’ll never get through this” can become “I don’t have to figure out everything today.”

Sometimes that small shift is enough to help you move from feeling stuck to taking one small step forward.

Which sentence on the poster do you most need to replace in your own head?

💜 Save this for a difficult day, or share it with someone who is far kinder to everyone else than they are to themselves.

Your sign to go for a walk today ⬆️🚶🏽‍♀️

Movement is a direct stimulus for your mitochondria (the energy factories inside your cells) that power everything from mood to metabolism.

Walking increases PGC-1α, a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis. That means more, healthier mitochondria to fuel your brain and buffer stress. It also elevates serotonin, norepinephrine, and BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), all of which support neuroplasticity, resilience, and emotional regulation.

At the same time, movement decreases cortisol, the body’s main stress hormone, by modulating the HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) axis.

Your brain evolved for movement. It solves problems best not in stillness, but in motion.

Start walking. It’s one of the most powerful forms of medicine we have.
And the best part is that a walk doesn't have to be long or intense to be worth doing.

A 10-minute walk after a meal, taking your phone calls outside, choosing the stairs, or walking when your mind feels stuck can turn movement into something you accumulate throughout the day instead of another workout you have to schedule.

The habit that works is the one you can repeat.

Now settle this:
If you had 30 minutes to clear your head, would you choose a WALK with no phone or 30 minutes completely alone on the couch?

And for those who walk regularly: what changes first when you get outside, your mood, energy, stress, or ability to think clearly?

I have a feeling the walkers and the “I need to sit down and be left alone” crowd will have very different answers.

Save this for the day you don't feel like moving, and send it to the person you'd actually go on the walk with.

Neurologists recommend lying on the floor for 7 minutes. It sounds strange. But what happens inside your body is far from simple. Your spine decompresses. Your breathing slows. Your nervous system shifts from fight or flight to rest and digest. All in 7 minutes. No equipment. No cost.
Here is what happens inside your body. When you lie on your back on a hard floor, your muscles stop compensating for poor posture. Your spine aligns. Your diaphragm moves freely. Deep breathing becomes automatic. Your vagus nerve, the main highway of your parasympathetic nervous system, activates. Your heart rate drops. Your blood pressure lowers. Your mind follows.
The science is clear. The floor does not give in like a bed or couch. That firm resistance triggers a relaxation response. Your body realizes it does not need to hold itself up anymore. It can let go. Chronic tension stored in your hips, shoulders and jaw begins to release. Anxiety symptoms fade within minutes.
Try it today. Lie on a carpet or yoga mat. No pillow. Arms at your sides. Palms up. Stay for 7 minutes. Breathe normally. Do not check your phone. Your nervous system has been waiting for this.
