Uniting ND Speech Language Therapists for Advocacy and Impact

Uniting ND Speech Language Therapists for Advocacy and Impact Our goal is one strong, informed voice so SLPs know when to advocate, how to advocate, and where their voice has impact.

Together, we share timely information, support one another, and influence the future of speech-language services.

🚨 SLPs — This Matters for ALL of Us 🚨

The upcoming American Medical Association CPT Editorial Panel meeting could directly impact how we practice, document, and get reimbursed — especially regarding CPT code 92507.

Right now, changes are already set to go into effect December 31, and they have the potential to significantly complicate both reimbursement and documentation — particularly in pediatric settings.

Here’s the reality:
👉 If you are not in the room (or attending virtually), your voice is not part of the conversation
👉 Many decisions are being made by individuals who do not fully understand the complexity of what we do every day

đź’ˇ What can you do RIGHT NOW?
Start gathering real data from your sessions:

*Workflow
*What does a session look like
*Time spent on articulation
*Time spent on language
*Time spent where these areas are intertwined and cannot be separated
*Time spent on intangibles in the session (motivation, rapport, engagement, redirection, etc.)
*Time spent on any other things that take up your session

📊 This matters because our sessions are NOT cleanly divided — and we need to show that.

🗣️ Anecdotal evidence is powerful too. What does your day actually look like? What would these changes mean for your patients and your practice?

We will be sharing opportunities to submit comments — and when that opens, we need as many voices as possible.

This is one of those moments where staying quiet is not an option.

If we want to protect our profession — especially in pediatrics — we have to show up, speak up, and back it with data.
