There’s something special about loving what you do—and doing what you love. 💙🩵

For our team, that means helping people heal.

At Wound Solutions of Arkansas, we work alongside each patient to assess, treat and develop an individualized care plan designed around their specific wound care needs.

Every wound is different. Every patient is different. And getting to be part of someone’s journey toward healing and recovery is why we love what we do.

Helping people heal isn’t just what we do—it’s why we do it.

Air Exposure
➡️ The Myth: Leaving a cut open to the air dries it out and helps it heal faster.

➡️ The Reality: Wounds actually heal much faster and cleaner in a moist environment. Moisture helps new skin cells move across the tissue easily, while open air lets the tissue dry out and form a hard crust.

Harsh Antiseptics
➡️ The Myth: Pouring rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on a scrape cleans and disinfects it best.

➡️ The Reality: These harsh liquids destroy healthy new cells and delicate tissues trying to repair the skin. They delay healing and can make scarring worse. Gentle soap and clean running water are all you need.

Scab Formation
➡️ The Myth: A thick, hard scab means your body is doing a great job fixing the injury.

➡️ The Reality: Scabs form when a wound is allowed to dry out too much. A heavy scab actually acts as a hard barrier that new cells have to dig under or work around, which slows down tissue regeneration and can increase scarring.
