Holidays, birthdays, special occasions, and even memories can be heartbreaking 💔 after a loss. I know just how overwhelmingly thirsty and consuming grief can be. No-one is immune to those feelings. Over four years ago, I lost my son, my daughter-in-love, and my mother in a span of five months. I truly understand. But what if you found a way to walk through your grief and break free of that constant crushing feeling? What if you could try a different way? Maybe you just haven’t found it yet.

Now, don’t get me wrong, walking through life hits differently now, but memories can be beautiful and joyful. Occasionally, there might still be some cleansing tears. Some of you have asked about drink preparations that have multiple benefits. There are many. I’ll discuss a few in my blog next week at https://catkatea.com. In the meantime, this simple and very old lemon-ginger tea prep boosts immunity, may help to reduce inflammation and swelling, supports gastrointestinal health and weight loss efforts. This tea is an uplifting pick-me-up to start the day and can also be used as a detox remedy by adding 2 teaspoons of dandelion root to the boil pot.
Bring 2-3 cups of water to a boil. Add 4 thin slices of fresh ginger root and the juice of half a lemon. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the liquid. Add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric and 1 tablespoon of honey to the ginger- lemon tea. I like to add a pinch of cinnamon to my cup. Stir well and Enjoy. Let me know how I can help.- Cathey 🫶🏾
