Congratulations, Dr. McClain!
Happy to share that Dr. Ken McClain, Co-Director of the Histiocytosis Program at Texas Children’s Cancer & Hematology Center, has received the 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, the highest honor from the Histiocyte Society. This lifetime achievement award recognizes his extraordinary contributions to understanding and treating histiocytic disorders.
Dr. McClain has led international clinical trials that defined treatment protocols, advanced research into the biology of these rare immune diseases and mentored the next generation of specialists. His work has shaped global standards of care.
The award was presented during the Society’s 41st Annual Meeting in Seattle on September 30, 2025. A special thank you to Dr. Carl Allen, who serves as Co-Director of the Histiocytosis Program, for presenting this honor during the meeting.
