Eclipses, for me, are best observed quietly. I don’t do any big things, I don’t try to manifest or take control of this energy. This is a beautiful but silent storm of change that I am meant to allow to just pass through. Remaining open, but surrendering to the current.

Ansuz: Breath, channeling, wisdom, Odin, the responsibility of what is said, and speaking things into existence.

Some ways to work with this rune mindfully are things like breathwork meditation, channeled writing, learning new information and sharing what you have learned, and taking the time to weigh your words carefully before any bigger discussions take place.

Don’t underestimate how influential a simple suggestion or comment you say might be, and consider if you want your influence felt so easily for every situation you encounter. Speak up, but carefully.

Put an emphasis on communication that breathes life back into things (inspired thought, questions, and opportunities to learn).

I’ve been asked about doing a local group for those interested in runes and/or Seidr for a while now and finally have an online space for us to connect while I get some in-person gatherings going.
It will be a casual club for discussion and sharing of experiences that will hopefully soon have some educational material shared as well.

This is my wonderful plant companion, Olrun 💚🌱

I’ve wanted a mandrake plant for a long time. Spiritually, they intrigue me and I’ve had good experiences interacting with this kind of plant spirit.
I finally achieved my dream of acquiring a living one, and she has been doing amazing!

Mandrakes get stressed easily and go dormant, so I expected a viable taproot with maybe some leaves that would likely drop from the stress of being shipped and repotted. I did some energy work with the plant during the repotting and blessed it for an easy transition, and here she is ten days later!

It’s Thursday, so I pull a rune to be my next guide/teacher/point of reflection for the next week.
Dagaz is the moment between night and day. It is the changing of a situation, the light at the end of the tunnel, or the art of being in two phases at once. It is hope that no matter how uncertain things may feel or how little you can see ahead, the light is coming.

What I love about this rune is that it has taught me that you can look ahead to hope while still acknowledging that you’re currently in the dark. It does not dismiss our concerns or tell us to look to brighter days without also accounting for the importance of the moment we are experiencing.
Your time in the dark was not nothing, but the cycle of a new day can be counted on.
