Hello Everybody!
I want to thank my donor and their family from the bottom of my heart. I promise I will take care of this precious gift they have given me and never take it for granted. I don’t know who my donor was but if this somehow reaches their family I want them to know I will treasure this gift for the rest of my life.

I’m also going through all the comments and I want to say Thank You to absolutely everyone for the overwhelming amount of prayers, love, and support you have sent my way. It means so much to me.

I thank God for all these blessings. We really do have such a beautiful community. 🙏

And to everyone still waiting for a donor or going through their own struggles. Keep your faith. God is big and prayers are powerful. We got this together. 💪❤️

Just wanted to give everyone a little update on David.

Yesterday David had some complications.
It definitely was a scary night but the doctors and nurses did an amazing job nursing him back to health! And today he’s doing so much better.
He’s still in pain but he’s better. He’s been able to get up, walk a little and sit in a chair.

He wanted me to thank everyone for all the prayers, love and support. He really appreciates everyone so much. ❤️

He also wanted to thank God for giving him this second chance at life and we are so grateful for his donor and the donor’s family. We know that while we are feeling beyond blessed and filled with so much gratitude and love there is a family out there hurting and grieving the loss of someone they love which makes this whole experience very bittersweet.

But because of them and their willingness to be a donor David is able to get a second chance and that is something our family will never take for granted.

We are forever blessed and grateful. ❤️🙏

Before going in he wanted everyone to know how blessed he feels for all the love and support he’s been receiving and especially all the prayers. He loves y’all and says he’ll see everyone real soon. ❤️

Went to get some iron today. One of the many downsides that comes with kidney failure is low iron and anemia. Hopefully this infusion gives me some much needed energy because we’ve got a busy Saturday ahead of us. 💚

Just keep pushing every day. 💪🏽

Good morning everyone. ❤️

First, THANK YOU ALL for the overwhelming love and support. I’m a grown a** man and it sure does get me teary eyed every time. 🥹

I do have an update. The transplant team called around 4am and unfortunately I did NOT get the kidney this time. This whole process is definitely a roller coaster of emotions for my family.

But honestly I’m okay. I know someone else got that call and their life is about to change. This one wasn’t meant for me and I just have to wait my turn. I trust everything has its time and place. 💚

I’m just blessed to be getting the calls again. 🙏🏽

Until then, I’ll keep pushing, fighting and staying strong. 💪🏽

Update: No kidney this go around.
Last night I got a kidney call. It’s not a guarantee but one step closer for sure! 💚

Things ended up getting postponed for a day so tomorrow I should get another call letting me know if I’ve been chosen.

This is such a bittersweet feeling for me. I’m beyond grateful to even have the possibility of getting a kidney and possibly having the chance to live a somewhat normal life again with my kids and family.

But at the same time, I know this opportunity comes during a very difficult time for another family. That’s something I’ll always keep close to my heart and never take lightly.

No matter what God has planned tomorrow, I’m just grateful to have made it this close. 🙏🏽

Thank you to everyone who has been following my journey, praying for me, checking in and rooting for me.
It really does mean a lot.

I’ll keep you guys updated. For now, I hope everyone has a beautiful night. ❤️
