“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 NIV

We don’t have to minimize our problems if we magnify our God! 🙌🏼

Lord, I am grateful that my prayers don’t have to be about how big my problems are, because I pray and praise You for being bigger than any problem I have!

In Jesus’ name, Amen 🙏🏼

At some point, your Bible has to become more than a book you highlight. 🤍📖

You can underline every verse, fill the margins with notes, save every Christian post, listen to every sermon, and know all the worship songs.

But eventually, God’s Word has to leave the page and change the way you live.

It’s one thing to read about faith. It’s another thing to live like you believe what you read.

Don’t just highlight His Word:

✨ Pray it.

✨ Speak it.

✨ Obey it.

✨ Live it.

Because the goal was never just to have a Bible full of highlighted verses. It’s to have a heart transformed by the truth within them.

Philippians 4:9 reminds us to put into practice what we’ve learned. And Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God is still working in us and will carry His good work to completion.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

I don’t have to be a finished work to keep growing. I just have to keep walking with Him, trusting Him, and allowing His Word to shape my heart and my life.

Lord, help me not just read Your Word, but live it. Keep working in my heart and transforming me from the inside out. 🤍📖

A little trip down memory lane! ❤️🥹

Oh, the big hair and the memories! I think the hair had its own zip code! 💁🏼‍♀️🤣

Some things change over the years, but it’s fun to look back at the younger version of yourself and remember the journey that brought you to where you are today.

If only I could tell that girl a few things about the life ahead of her! ❤️✨🙏🏼

The foundation of Christianity is not simply a belief in life after death.

It is faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life to those who believe in Him.

And that question Jesus asked Martha still reaches us today:

Do you believe this? ❤️✝

Sometimes the things we wish we could grow around, over, or past are the very things God uses to grow something deeper within us. 🌱❤️

Growth doesn’t always look like progress forward. Sometimes it looks like patience when we’d rather have answers, trust when we can’t see the whole picture, or choosing to keep moving forward when the path is harder than we expected.

I’m learning that God doesn’t always remove the obstacles in our path. Sometimes He teaches us to grow right where we are, even when the circumstances aren’t what we would have chosen. 💪🏼

The goal isn’t to avoid every hard thing. It’s to let God use those hard things to shape who we’re becoming. 🙏🏼

Keep growing. Even around the rocks. 🌱❤️

😂😂 Honestly, this sounds like a pretty solid life plan! 🐦🌊☀️

No schedules, no stress, unlimited snacks, beach days, and absolutely zero apologies for making a little noise when the mood strikes. 🤣

At this point, I think the seagulls might be onto something! 😂❤️

Something in Mark 3:31–35 stopped me as I read and studied it.

Jesus says, “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

Whoever.
Does.

That got me thinking about my own journey.

Since my cardiac arrest, I’ve just kept saying yes.

Yes to church.
Yes to Life Group.
Yes to prayer.
Yes to Scripture.
Yes to baptism.
Yes to serving.
Yes to learning.

I didn’t have some big master plan. I just kept saying yes to the next thing God put in front of me.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something I wrote in my journal months ago:

My family is not formed by DNA, but by yes.

Looking at this picture, I can see it.

This is family. These are my brothers and sisters and mothers in Christ.

Not because we share blood, but because we share something deeper. We are learning to follow Jesus together, one yes at a time.

Not because we share blood, but because God brought us together as we keep saying yes to Him.

Maybe that’s what obedience looks like sometimes.

Not one giant yes.

Just a whole lot of little ones. ❤️

I was called to obedience.
I am held by grace.
I am kept by love.
We are family by yes.

Worship isn’t always raising your hands.

Sometimes it’s simply sitting in His presence and knowing He’s there. ❤️

When the daily grind gets to be a little too much, sometimes the reset I need isn’t another solution.

It’s worship.

Surrendering the worries.
Trading them for His peace.
Remembering that I don’t have to understand the whole path to trust the One who does.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6

I don't have to figure it all out.
I just have to trust Him. 🤍

I had an idea for a fall-inspired curry and just started throwing things together… and honestly, this one turned out REALLY good. 😂

Creamy, savory, a little sweet from the pumpkin, and packed with flavor. And the best part? It all comes together in the slow cooker.

📸 Here’s the whole process from marinade to finished bowl.

🎃 Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chicken Curry

Ingredients

* 1½–2 lbs chicken, cut into chunks
* ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
* Spices of choice: curry powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, etc.
* 1 jar Butter Chicken Sauce
* 1 jar Tikka Masala Sauce
* 1½ cups pumpkin purée
* 1 can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
* 1 can coconut milk
* ½ cup chicken broth
* 1 onion, chopped
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
* 1 bell pepper, chopped
* 1 zucchini, chopped

Directions

1. Marinate the chicken.
Combine the chicken with the Greek yogurt and your desired spices. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer if you have time.

2. Brown the chicken (optional).
Brown the chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat before adding it to the slow cooker. This adds extra flavor but isn’t necessary.

3. Add to the slow cooker.
Add the chicken, onion, garlic, ginger, pumpkin purée, butter chicken sauce, tikka masala sauce, fire-roasted tomatoes, coconut milk, and chicken broth.

4. Cook.
Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

5. Add the vegetables.
Add the bell pepper and zucchini during the last 45–60 minutes of cooking so they stay tender rather than disappearing into the sauce.

6. Taste and adjust.
Stir well and taste before serving. You probably won’t need additional seasoning because the jarred sauces are already well seasoned.

7. Serve.
Serve over rice with naan. 🫓🍚

🎃 If you try it, let me know what you think! And if you make any changes, I’d love to hear what you did.
