Customers enjoying Taco Tuesday on the patio at Gecko’s in Kingston, Oklahoma, witnessed what may go down as the most daring food theft of the summer.

According to eyewitnesses, a squirrel suddenly appeared near the outdoor dining area, made a beeline for an unattended taco, and snatched the entire thing before anyone knew what happened.

Several patrons reportedly jumped up laughing, pointing, and recording the furry bandit as it raced across the parking lot with its prize firmly in tow. Despite the crowd’s best efforts to keep up, the squirrel escaped without dropping a single bite.

One witness described the suspect as “lightning fast, highly motivated, and clearly a fan of Taco Tuesday.”

No injuries were reported, although one customer is still said to be negotiating the emotional loss of their taco.

Gecko’s management has not commented on the incident, but local wildlife experts believe the squirrel may now be considered Kingston’s newest Taco Tuesday enthusiast. 🌮😂
