This weekend, I proudly celebrated graduating with both a Master’s in Public Health and a Doctorate in Health Sciences. Yes, both. At the same time. Because when you are built for impact, you do not wait for perfect timing. You make the timing perfect.

They say it takes a village, and I could not agree more. My journey to this moment was not walked alone. It was fueled by the love, support, and constant encouragement of my friends and family who never let me forget my purpose.

This road was not easy. There were sleepless nights, long days, and more than a few moments where I questioned everything. But through it all, I had a tribe that kept me lifted with love, laughter, and plenty of tequila and wine.

I did this for my family, the next generation, for my community, and for every person who has ever dared to dream big while carrying the weight of even bigger responsibilities.

The journey was real, but so is the degree… times two.

This year taught me growth isn’t always comfortable, but it’s always worth it. Grateful for the lessons, the love, and all of YOU who’ve been part of my journey. …Ya’ll, I'm excited to share some amazing news. My besties and I embarked on an incredible venture, and we're thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new establishment: - a fantastic restaurant, bar, and night club all rolled into one!

The past 8 months have been an emotional rollercoaster, as we took on the challenge of purchasing and transforming an iconic piece of Kirksville history. It hasn't been an easy ride, but we've learned so much along the way, and I truly appreciate the valuable lessons this journey has taught us.

We're all about creating an exceptional experience for our patrons, and we can't wait to welcome you to The Press Room. Here's to providing unforgettable moments and making lasting memories together! Cheers to the future and all the excitement it holds!…

Birthdays mean a fresh start; a time for looking back with gratitude at the blessings of another year. It is also a time to look forward with renewed hope for bigger blessings.

For those that don’t know, Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19th. On this day in 1865 all of the enslaved people in our country were set free. This is a form of Independence Day for all of the black people that were held captive as slaves in our country.

It is called “Juneteenth” because “June” and “nineteen” were combined into one word.

We hope that you are able to find a way to celebrate this momentous day! Do what you can to learn and read about the traditions and customs of the Black community. You can also support a Black business or non profit!
