Written by amazing 💖 “I don’t know about y’all but I’ve been grieving the current times we’re in, especially when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement.
We have been dealing with racism and the racist system this country was built upon for hundreds of years and a couple months ago, it felt like BIPOC communities were finally getting the attention we deserve.
White people seemed to be aiming to be true accomplices and were putting their privilege to good use.
However, now it seems the Black Lives Matter movement is becoming another slogan without much action.
Many white folks have gone back to their comfy lives, while BIPOC folks are still out here fighting just to be treated like human beings, asking for the most basic of rights to be safe in our homes and not be shot in our beds. Or for simple breath.
I invite everyone to join me, David Heppard and Melania Brown on Sunday at 3pm EST for our Black Lives STILL Matter panel.
In this event, we will discuss:
▪️The principles of the BLM movement
▪️Calling each other in
▪️The grief of seeing the BLM movement decrease
▪️The steps white folks need to take next
▪️How to increase sustainability and capacity for the BLM movement using SE practices
▪️Plus more!
