I’ve been quiet here for a couple of weeks, tending to some big life things—family, health, and uncertainty.

This season has been reminding me that rest is not stepping away from life, but a way of staying with it. Of listening and gathering strength.

If you’ve been carrying a lot lately, this is your reminder to slow down and turn inward.

Softness is strength.
Rest is medicine. 🌿

The last couple of weeks have been hard on so many levels. Heavy, messy, and a little overwhelming.

Through it all, I keep coming back to this — fresh air, rocks in my hands, feathers, flowers, quiet moments outside.

Nature has a way of holding what we can’t. Of softening the edges and reminding us we’re allowed to slow down and just be. ❤️

It’s a beautiful spring day here in La Junta. 🌞🌷

As we step into the growing season, I want to introduce you to one of my sheroes, Dr. Vandana Shiva. ✨

A physicist, ecofeminist, and environmental activist, she has spent her life protecting seeds, advocating for small farmers, and honoring the deep connection between women, the earth, and our food systems.

She is a seed keeper—someone who understands that seeds are not just agriculture…they are life, culture, and future.

Her work and perspectives aren’t without controversy, but her voice has sparked important conversations about seeds, sovereignty, and who controls our food systems.

Tonight was magical. ✨ Thank you to the amazing women who showed up and made space for creativity & connection. Women gathering changes things, and this was just the beginning. 🌿

Today is the spring equinox - a moment when light and dark stand equal, and the earth begins to exhale.🌞🌙

It feels like the right time to set down what we’ve been carrying and remember who we are beneath it all.

We spend so much of our lives living inside our titles. But we were someone before we earned them — and that person is still there, unchanged, unhurried, and worth knowing.

For me, she’s a girl who loves nature. A gardener. A reader. A rock collector. An animal lover.
