Facts from Papa Racc. And remember, there's a million of us small batch beard companies, we offer our own blends of carriers, scents vary from company to company, some companies care a ton about packaging and presentation, while others are just chill wanting you to get their stuff and you might not even get a label. Focus on the scent for yourself and your personal needs from a carrier blend before anything else. The beard community can always help you figure out specific carriers for your beard type. They'll recommend companies that run those carriers. The beard community is amazing.
Good luck, y'all!
Beard Oil β a step, a block of the self-care ritual. Good for your skin, good for your hair, good for your mind.
While of course I recommend my own at Bearded Racc Co, here's some honest truths, tips and guides to get what you specifically need.
Papa's Suggestion β let's be honest here, is it going to smell like something you'd probably wear? If you don't dig the scent profile and have zero interest, don't. It'll end up on the BST and you'll have a disappointing experience.
Next, ingredients list, buddy. What has worked in the past? Does your beard or hair respond differently to carriers? Because it SHOULD. Targeting what works for you helps at base, then factor in additional health benefits from the other carriers to see if it's what you personally would want.
Stay away from buying just for the art, or because of a particular character/theme. Not saying they're bad at all. I'm just saying that you should know the scent you're buying, not just that you're getting something that looks cool. There's a reason those end up flooding the BST after 1 or 2 uses. Or stashed in a collection to collect dust.
But Papa's best advice here, get whatever will make you happy. Owners matter, company quality matters, community respect matters, but at the end of the day you're purchasing for yourself. So get what you'll be happy with, benefit from, and actually use.
Take care of yourself!
