⭐️What a sweet day looks like supporting families !! ⭐️

Hope met the parents for a prenatal visit to prepare for birth, answer questions, and build confidence—and later visited a mom and baby at the hospital to continue offering care and support!

Hope Breaux is a certified birth doula through ICBD who is passionate about helping women feel empowered, heard, and supported throughout their birth journey. Inspired by her late mother-in-law, a beloved church doula, Hope carries on that legacy with deep purpose and compassion.

Hope is honored to walk alongside families every step of the way. We love her very much!

Do you know the difference between law, regulation, and policy???? Here is a real world birth example using VBACs:

Law- you have the legal Right To refuse cesarean section.

Regulation - VBACs are only allowed in hospitals

Policy - your hospital will only provides VBAC unless there is a fully trained team on site.
This is a de facto VBAC ban.

Knowing your rights in birth is exactly why I created my ultimate birth planning guide. You can find it at the link in my bio.

Wanna save money and NOT see an IBCLC or other feeding specialist? If only more moms knew that breastfeeding could be improved by just doing a few simple changes during and immediately after birth, we could decrease so much pain and trouble that mamas have.

This is why simple birth plans are important for EVERY type of birth. Only MOTHERS can change the way hospitals do things!

You might not have thought about breastfeeding yet, but preparing for breastfeeding before you give birth is an important step to reducing the risk of ni**le pain and trauma.

We prepare for labour and birth.

We prepare the nursery, swaddles, and clothes.

But few of us prepare for breastfeeding and this lack of preparation can lead to complications with latching, low milk supply, and ni**le pain.

My mission is to prepare women for breastfeeding so that they can reduce the risk of complications and have an enjoyable, pain-free experience.

The Thompson Breastfeeding Method is an evidence-based method to reduce the risk of breastfeeding complications 🤱💕

Placenta encapsulation really is that good! Love - Deputy Wiegel (PS - pharmaceutical
companies made a drug that mimics the benefits of encapsulation…so this isn’t woowoo, lol).

We often hear parents sharing concerns after being told they have "low fluid" late in pregnancy. But what does the research say about induction for isolated low amniotic fluid in an otherwise healthy pregnancy?

Key takeaways from this evidence review:

🔵Ultrasound measurements of amniotic fluid are not always accurate predictors of actual fluid volume.

🔵The "single deepest pocket" measurement may reduce unnecessary interventions compared to the commonly used AFl method.

🔵Research suggests that poor outcomes often associated with low amniotic fluid are frequently linked to other underlying complications—not low fluid alone.

🔵Studies have found that induction for isolated low amniotic fluid at term may increase the likelihood of cesarean birth without improving outcomes for babies.

🔵Evidence does not currently support routine induction solely for isolated low amniotic fluid in a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy.

Understanding the evidence helps us support informed decision-making and have meaningful conversations with care providers.

By Rebecca L. Dekker, PhD, RN, APRN Today's post on the Evidence for Induction for Low Amniotic Fluid in a Healthy Pregnancy is a guest post by blogger Rebecca Dekker, owner of the fairly new blog in the birth world, Evidence Based Birth that has been very well received and enjoyed by many.
