It is officially September Y'all and I can feel fall in the air. I was sitting in my cold plunge last night around 9:30 meditating and praying and I swear I got a wiff of pumpkin spice! ππ
But letβs be realβthe main word coming out of this summer from all of us is
EXHAUSTION
Itβs not just from a busy schedule. Itβs the deep toll of self-pressure, work, overstimulated overloaded, toxic relationships, family dynamics, and just trying to clean up your life and ascend to a better place.
Shedding all that weight and trying to get back on track with your health, your diet, and your spirit takes a massive toll on your mind and body.
It is incredibly easy to get thrown off course by the daily grind, but we all need that reset to get our heads right with ourselves and God.
If you are trying to slow down, handle the shifts, and get back into true self-care right now without letting life get you caught up, here are some zero-pressure ways to protect your peace:
* The "No Wake Zone" Window: Block out a strict window on your calendar. Yes schedule it or you won't do it! Pull back that throttle to chill, slow down completely, and make it a strict no wake zone for your life. If you want to take a nap, watch a brainless movie, read a romance novel or a thriller, zone out to your favorite album..or just sit in the silence, you do it without creating any waves or guilt.
* Bring Back Play: Go do something purely because it is fun and serves absolutely no productive purpose. Shoot some hoops, play a game, call your friends and ask them to come play, blast music in the car, or dive into a hobby you used to love before life got so serious.
* Prayer & Meditation: Set aside intentional, quiet time to talk to God, your heart and listen, and get your head right. It anchors the soul when the outside world gets too loud.
* Audit Your Circle: Mute, unfollow, or block the social media accounts, "friends," or family dynamics that trigger anxiety, self-pressure, or toxic energy. Quit focusing on the negative. Quit feeding the chaos.
* Laugh Until It Hurts: Intentionally seek out something that actually cracks you up. Watch your favorite stand-up comedian or call that one friend who always tells the most ridiculous stories. Laughter shakes off accumulated irritation faster than anything.
* Unapologetic Boundary Setting: Say an absolute, firm "No" it's really simple.
I'm not available for that.
No thank you, I appreciate it but I'm not available.
No thank you that won't work for me.
Without an explanation...to the next favor or obligation that you do not have the emotional bandwidth to handle. Protect your peace like a hawk so you actually have the energy to go play.
* Forgive Your Own Progress: Actively catch yourself when self-loathing or perfectionism creeps in. Remind yourself that you are ascending, shedding old weight, and doing the best you can with a heavy load.
Take a breath, let the water settle, and protect your peace. πβ¨
Focus on Fall is peace, harmony and a lot of self love
