Friends, I have to share something that's been on my heart this morning. ☀️

Three years ago, a dear friend invited me to my first sound bath. She said it would help me relax and honestly, I wasn't sure I believed her. But I went.

Because of autoimmune dysfunction, my nervous system is almost always in hypervigilance mode. Relaxing doesn't come easy. But during that 30-minute sound bath, something I hadn't felt in a long time happened. My body slowly let go. My muscles softened, my joints eased, and I was able to take a real, full breath.

It was a small thing. And it changed everything.
I've spent the time since learning everything I can about sound healing, somatic meditation, binaural beats, the notes and harmonies that resonate with different parts of our bodies, the way rhythmic music moves like ocean waves through the parasympathetic nervous system, gently restoring calm.

This week and next are filled with exciting things I'm looking forward to challenging myself and learning. This morning, as I sit, planning my week, I'm listening to a sample sound bath I created and I want to share it with you here. I linked the press kit that I send to prospective partners. It explains, briefly what I do. My sample sound bath is towards the end of this presentation.

🧠 Words Forge Nueral Pathways in the Brain 🧠

Bruce Lee once said:
“Don’t speak negatively about yourself, even as a joke. Your body doesn’t know the difference. Words are energy and cast spells…”

💬 Language shapes reality. The words we use, especially when talking to ourselves, forge neural pathways in the brain. Repeated negative self-talk reinforces patterns of self-doubt and criticism, while intentional, compassionate language promotes resilience and self-acceptance.

🌀 I know—it’s difficult. Managing chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, or chronic fatigue means facing daily challenges that can trigger frustration. But consider this: what if we spoke to ourselves as patiently as we would to a friend enduring the same struggles?

🌱 Change is gradual. But with consistent effort, the way we talk to ourselves can evolve, creating a foundation for healing and emotional well-being. Today, let’s challenge ourselves to pause and reflect before engaging in negative self-talk.
