Let the commence! I love adding a splash of to pancakes, holiday cocktails, cakes & cookies. It’s super easy to make. Just put split vanilla beans in vodka and let them sit for at least 8 weeks. Shake the jar often and be sure the vodka fully covers the beans. Use as needed and top off with vodka or strain and reuse the beans. (About 1 bean per 3 ounces) Grade B is fine, but we go all the way and use premium vodka & Grade A Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans.

Beyond excited to be harvesting our very own organic ginger today. 💕💕💕🌱Ginger is so good for you! It helps with nausea, pain, digestion, immunity, weight loss, cancer, diabetes, is anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory and so much more. 💕💕💕🌱 I can’t wait to see how amazing it tastes in our syrups & teas!

The perfect spooky Halloween plant... I spotted this Black Pearl Chili at and I’m totally obsessed. This is a new one for me and I’m so excited to add it to my garden next year. The berries change from green to black to red. Edible but considered ornamental- but there must be some good uses... Anyone have tips?

Winter is around the corner, and there’s no better time to boost your immunity!
Elderberry Syrup is my go-to for staying healthy & well year-round, but it’s particularly beneficial during cold & flu season.
I make ours in small batches with organic elderberries, ginger, cinnamon, clove, cardamom and local raw honey. It’s sweet & smooth with a slight ginger kick and super yummy- for both adults & kids (2 and up- honey free available by request)

Yes! We are still here, and making your favorites!!

Life is a bit different this year. We are working and schooling at home.

And sometimes from the road! We spent last week in Blowing Rock and had a blast working and schooling in the mountains.

Teaching/School Coaching takes up most of my days now. It’s not how I had envisioned this year, but it’s actually quite fun.

And now that we are finally getting into a good rhythm, I’m able to carve out more time in the shop.

Elderberry and vanilla extract production are back in full swing and we’ll have fresh fire cider by Thanksgiving.

Our indoor gardens and new mini greenhouse are planted and already sprouting and we’ll be harvesting our ginger soon.

Echinacea harvest coming along nicely! Will be grabbing roots at the end of the season as well. This will be used in our Elderberry Echinacea Syrup, Echinacea Tincture & our Winter Wellness Tea. So delighted to be sourcing directly from my own garden. 💕🌱🙌 (eagle-eye bonus for my Lake Wylie peeps out there... ♻️ yes, I totally reuse and repurpose all my buckets. They’re the best!)

YAY! We have ginger! Another experiment this season, and it seems to be growing well. Looking forward to using our own organic ginger this year. Doesn’t get any more local than this! 😎💕🙌🌱
