More on why I rated what I rated:
➡️ Prenatals are a must, but they need to be a good quality because there are some crappy ones on the market. My absolute fav if I’m not compounding a custom prenatal - Дарья Дубенко
➡️ I LOVE tracking BBT because it often correlates with rising progesterone levels, but it’s moreso looking in the rearview mirror post-ovulation, so not ideal to use to see when you’re ovulating.
➡️ Please give your body time post-birth control to replete nutrients, find your natural cycle, etc.
➡️ Progesterone can absolutely be taken on day 21, but if you have a late ovulation/longer cycle, you may want to wait longer. I kept rating things 5 because I’m like neutral about it HAHA.
➡️ Full thyroid panels should absolutely be taken as a fertility work-up. Not just TSH, but also TSH, FT4, FT3, thyroid antibodies.
➡️ Love doing detox work BEFORE getting pregnant because it helps prepare your environment that will home and grow your baby. Once your pregnant, there are lots we can’t do (since it’s not studied during pregnancy).
➡️ We’re starting to use Mira more in our practice and I am LOVING it. I also love DUTCH to understand how hormones are being pushed through your body - not just simply hormone levels. Also the Complete comes with testing your adrenals, which is a huge part of a fertility journey/balanced hormones.
➡️ Full-fat dairy has been pushed more than ever lately for hormones and fertility. A blanket statement of “full fat dairy is good for you” doesn’t ring true for everyone, even if their goals are the same. Sometimes people do better without it - so I’m neutral about this.
